I showed up to my Monday night drill, and one of the pros had the new Prince Ozone Tour Midplus (100si). I have been pretty excited about the release of this stick (due out next month), since I play the original O3 Tour MP.
Well, the excitement didn't last long. Let me just say that if you already own the O3 Tour, you will not need to spend your money on new sticks - the Ozone Tour is virtually identical. There is one noticeable difference; the new model has little more mass (it felt slightly heavier, which the pro said he noticed as well) distributed evenly throughout the frame. I say this because the balance was almost identical to my O3 Tours. So, if you demoed the original and thought it was a bit light or lacked mass, you will probably enjoy the newer model. Thing is, the difference was small enough that you could get the same results by leading up the original. BTW, the frame dimensions are the same - 18/20/18 mm beam, 27" length, 16x18 string pattern, 800 power level, etc. I didn't look at the printed weight.
Otherwise, the new model had the same type of feel/feedback, and played pretty much the same. I didn't like the strings; they were some sort of new Prince string (I looked but I can't remember the name) which kind of lacked feel and ball bite. I could tell it wasn't the frame. The paint job does look very cool in person. If you haven't seen the pictures yet, it's the same design as the other Ozone sticks, but with orange accents.
So the verdict is: plays like a leaded up O3 Tour with a cool new pj. Anyway, I am hoping the release of this racquet will drive down the price of the original so I can stock up
