i was watching tsonga practice Friday, March 21 for about 2 hours.
he was drilling for a long time and practiced a lot of shots to beat rafa.
short slice, deep slice to forehand, drop volley, high backhand volley, High Approach shots.

and then he missed 3 shots in a row and cracked his "k-blade".
shape isn't deformed just a "fracture" in the frame.

as he left the court i noticed he left the racket sitting on the benches.
i asked the coach if i can have it
nd he said"Go ahead, take it"

i ran over to tsonga to get it signed.

will post pics later
i promise..

if i get feedback

let us know spec

1. static weight
2. how head light
3. grip size
4. head size 93 or 98
5. 27 or 27.5
6. any lead on frame

thank you

Great pics. You are one of the only people in the world with a KBlade with PWS. Lucky you! Looks like he smashed it!

Friday is big difference from last saturday!

less people, closer to pros, more relaxed.

play on stadium 3

i played on stadium 3 with my friend!!

What boggles my mind is the weight listed in the throat is 11.5 if they are putting the kblade tour pj on it it would be 11.4. the 98 is way less, why would they put the 11.5 in there, that is just so bizarre.

Is there any chance you could weigh it I am dying to know how much it weighs. The balance etc would be nice too!

Excellent Post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The other wierd thing is it has the old hyper series head guard instead of the new k series one.

Oh, I know it is not a kblade, but I thought they would at least make some vain attempt at making it look like one. --plus I thought the bumper guards may be somewhat interchangeable, but due to the fact it is probably not the same beam width they probably will not be that interchangeable. They are probably only making this pj for tsonga would be my guess, if they were making for several other pros I thought they may just do a mock up of the bumper guard-- it is a really distinctive feature of the racquet with the gold k factor lettering in it.

Plus Novo has it on his Pj of the kbade, so I thought they might extend the courtesey to tsonga hehehehehe

Guess you know where tsonga ranks in Wilson's books :)

Sorry guys but I'm new to The Great Tsonga Racket Debate. So then rod experts, now we have close ups of his actual frame from just a few days ago, what frame is it beneath the pj?

Wo... reading through the threads I can't believe no-one seems to be able to say for sure what frame he uses! Surely with the OP's photos though, someone can assert with confidence 'Okay! Without a shadow of a doubt the frame's a ________'.... no?

BTW... I don't suppose anyone really thinks it might be a PSC 6.1 18x20?

frame is a pro staff classic 6.1 stretch......

Tsonga's racquet is the Hyper Pro Staff 6.5.

I believe Novak is actually using a KBlade and not a PJ.

Wait, can anyone post an upclose pic of PWS (perimeter weighting system)

Yea it looks like hyper prostaff 5.1 or 6.2. these racket has been discontinued but they are a very popular frame among players. i am not sure if Tsonga even gave the K-blade a try or not.

And you still believe that Santa will bring you some toys in December if you behave correctly...

Goes back to what BP said in another thread about Pete's stick. It's not an NBlade, and not a KBlade that you can buy, but it is a KBlade. Show me the PWS on Novak's stick in any image since the AO. You can't buy Novak's stick in the stores--but is a version (his version) of the KBlade.

what does pws mean?

what does pws mean?

And what I was meaning by this is that Novak's stick is not a PJ of a previous stick such as Tsonga's. Novak has a custom mold with the KBlade design (PJ). His stick is a KBlade--maybe not the same one you can get in a store, but is no less a KBlade than any KBlade in stores.

Perimiter Weighting System. It's the wilson trademark, on all 6.0/6.1's and some other frames you'll notice a sort of "flare" at 3&9 o'clock. This is pws

ah...i've always noticed that and i've owned a few wilsons too, thx. if it was a snake it would've bit me.

Also, Can you take some more closeup pics of tsonga's racket from different angles? it would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone got any views on the Hyper PS 6.5? I do know the HPS 6.1 and the PSC 6.1 of course, but not this frame that some ppl allege Tsonga is actually using... I wonder if it's great stock, or you have to seriously mod it up?... hmmm...

i used the hyper ps 6.5 for a while. It was a very stiff frame but had that classic feel. I'm just not a wilson racket guy.
