I GOT TSONGA's RACKET

I have some news for you

The European 18x20 edition of the Hyper Pro Staff Tour 95 has the same characteristics

it's clearly not this racquet.... look at the throat, it's more rounded than this tour 95, which is more square and boxy...

I know we are lucky to have a member to get his racquet, but can we SERIOUSLY have someone who knows that they are doing.

You say its longer then 27 inches but dont bother to post the real length. You post every couple of days with little tidbits of information. Still havent posted the balance.

Its a freaking racquet not a research paper. Its been a week since you got the racquet.

If you're a kid and dont have transportation then I understand and apologize.
Are you in that big of a rush to complete your full transformation into Tsonga's game, his frame included? The racket is 27.*" and matches the specs of what many have been saying, that it's the *** *.* from ******. It even matches the frame on ****'s pro spec list. Do the research yourself and you won't have to rely on anyone.

Yes it is most probably a Hyper Pro Staff 6.5 stretch, that was the same racket Tsonga's used before he was sponsored.

If I had to make a choice, given all the endless speculation, debate and detective work, I'm with Salsa... ie, my money's on the HPS 6.5 stretch.

Anyway, I don't think I'm alone in thinking maybe this topic has now died a natural death?

OK, I got the rackets I got from the bay, they arrived today from the Netherlands

Now, those two rackets are light and a little head heavy. Maybe they could be the equivalent to today's K 6.1 Team or n 6.1 Team.

They are marked as 6.0 and match the 18x20 pattern of Tsongas racket.

what do you think ?

I'll restring them and change grips and try them next weekend. they feel light but probably I can put some weight in the handle and make them perform like a real pro staff.

Um, response to Salsa Lover, that looks like the Asian version. A racquet with that type of bumper is usually a Asian version. My cousin bought a Nsix-one Team with that bumper. It plays just as good as the Us Version though. He says the Us version seem lighter actually or more headlight.

But Tsonga's racquet is probably just the Ksixone 95.

similar, but not the same right?

the HPS 6.5 that caesarguy compared it to looks like an identical match

tennisfreakx... we're not trying to be rude...but can you please tell us the exact length and give us the balance?

Just balance the racquet on another racquet handle and send us a pic!

Thanks!

No it is standard lenght.

I think it is the earliest version of the Pro Staff "Team". So less weight and more head heavy.

I'll try it and maybe experiment adding weights to the handle and 3 and 9, I have a HPS 6.0 16x18 and a K95 18x20 so I'd be able to compare them.

Well I tried the racket today and it is too light for me.

I am used to play with heavier rackets ( K90, PS85 ) So this one is not for me.

It could be customized for sure, I can maybe add weight to the handle and have a more HL and heavy racket but then I'd be back to a K95/n95 type of racket.

I'll put them for sale.

what do you guys make of these pics? can you estimate how head light that is?

tennisfreakx...thank you! now there's one more thing we need. exact length. shouldn't be too hard to do.

:D

can you measure the exact length tennisfreakx? :)

leelord, would you say that's maybe 4 points head light?

judging from tsonga' big game i'm pretty sure its not head light, he's too big from the baseline for it to be hl, in my opinion. i would have to go with even balance or head heavy. *really not sure* tennis freak, can you balance the racket on the edge of table on the throat on a pencil or something so we can see the balance of it? also whats the length? i'm not sure how much we will pay for it...might have to know the specs first. ;-)

Tsonga uses a 27.3" frame and it is not the black and yellow European Pro Staff Tour 95, nor is it the n/k95.

Here's a better comparison pic i threw together in photoshop. I think its a different stick, the head looks more oval in tsonga's racket.

Untitled-1copy-14.jpg

Maybe it is the paint of the Tour 95 that creates that optical effect. Or are the HPS 6.5 more oval and rounded ?

Anyhow the rackets I got are not that Head light

how much would u guys pay for it?

Just as a reference, there is a not broken n90 and signed by Federer racket on the bay Item 260221514170

It is now $1500 and 2 days left.

I'd say, maybe Tsonga wins an Slam someday with a Kblade PJ and then your racket could fetch more money or maybe he gets injured again and fades into oblivion and then it'll be worth $25

Who knows.

ah, i didn't realize this. what do you mean by big game? I would think baseline bashing--he goes for big shots/winners all the time.. but he's got an all-court game, too, doesn't he? great hands at the net...

so serve and volleyers tend to like more head light balance?

baseline bashers......?

all court....?

helloooo :) tennisfreakx :)

I'm thinking you can at least get $150 or so for your racquet.

so how long is it?

hello?

can you please measure the length of the racquetplease?

and balance it on something smaller? thanks

It may look like that racket but it is for sure not that racket. He would be using a racket from older generations with a paint job.

you never know. it really doesent matter because i doubt anyone here can play like him, no sens in replicating his stick.

I agree with you on there is no sense in replicating his stick but from what you are saying, if you can play at that level you should replicate his stick. That is wrong because everyone plays better with their own racket, not someone else's.

wow! that is sick!

hold that dear my friend!

what will you do with it now? play with it [though probably break faster with that crack] or just frame it?

the first few pictures of the racquet showed that the mains of the strings were grey coloured...later part showed natural coloured. What's up with that
