I see it. I can see it clearly now.

There are only five players who have the potential to take down Alcaraz at RG but none of them will.

Djokovic is not match fit.

Bull is done and dusted.

Zed is up and down and needs more time.

Sinner will not be able to match Raz mentally.

Rune will not be able to match Raz physically.

Put your money on Karl and double your net worth, he got this one. None is stopping him and unless the Rome final is between Djokovic and Nadal, its result is irrelevant.

It would be great result for tennis nonetheless. Bull has bored us to death for 14 years, time to end it now once and for all.

Discuss.

It looks more and more likely with every passing day/week that Alcaraz is going to be the runaway favorite. Unless Stefanos somehow figures out how to win a slam, I think Carlos is geared up for #2.

Alcaraz vs Musetti would be a quite "delicious" match if they meet at RG.
The Italian is not afraid of the wonder boy on clay.
I think Zverev or someone else could spring a surprise on Alcaraz at RG.
It's such a different environment and atmosphere from best of 3 tournaments.

Nah. He's maybe one of the favorites. But his style is not one that a powerhitter can't smash through on a great day.
If Zverev plays the way he did at RG last year, it would take a very strong version of Nadal to stop him. Alcaraz can't stop the best version of Zverev in a major.
Not sure about Djokovic. He's not looked good at all since Australia.

I did not see the match .
Was Alcaraz "Goating" or was Zverev beating himself?

Zverev was just hitting hard. Not much in the way of tactics or strategy. He's definitely capable of playing much better.
Alcaraz killed him the exact same way in Madrid last year. But RG was a whole different thing.

About as probable as 84 year old Rod Laver “springing a surprise” on Carlos. Zverev isn’t winning RG unless it’s WTA.
I don't think I said Zverev was going to win RG. I said he's capable of beating Alcaraz at RG. But who knows? We'll find out soon enough.

Yes and we'll hear the opposite if he loses another match before RG lol. He'll probably win RG, I agree but not because he just beat Zverev.

If he finishes Madrid in the solid form he had at Barcelona, and wins the title, then it is probably a safe bet to put him as the fav without Rome being played. If in Rome, Djokovic and or Nadal step up big time, we will have this discussion again.

At the moment, he is the man of the hour though and does look the strong fav to defend his Madrid title.

Madrid means nothing to RG.
Hopefully Carlitos will play in Rome and not hide if he wins in the Spanish capital to conserve energy, which at his age (20) is absolutely ridiculous.

When the empire will fall it would be decisive. There won't be a turning back. Bull will lose his crown.

Stef is pretty low on the list of threats to Alcaraz. It's a horrible match-up.

Alcaraz is probably more likely to crash out to a rando in the 1st week than lose to Tsitsipas in the QFs or later.

This is also accurate. More so said him because the other clay contenders are even worse/not even fit (Djokovic, Nadal, Zverev, Ruud).

Like it or not, it is what it is. Zverev is still far more difficult matchup for Carlito than Tsitsipas.

To beat Zverev Carlito has to exploit his FH. That's dangerous strategy.

Spain’s best ever teenage tennis player will beat the 2nd best Spanish teenage tennis player at RG. Now, who is who?

To early to say this yet. Alcaraz is looking great but I wouldn’t rule out Nadal or Djokovic yet. Let’s see what happens for Rome and of course RG. I still see it as Nadal favourite and alcaraz/Djokovic co 2nd favourites.

We saw it a long time ago even before he won the USO. TTW loves to live in denial and do trash talk about his height. He's 19 and scary good. Rafa or Djoko - no one can stop him if he stays healthy and does not get a crazy draw.

Are you willing to bet your money though? My outside bet would be Tsitsipas or Rune.

Alcaraz will turn 20 on May 5.

Maybe Karatsev? Lol I think it’s time to write off Zverev at least for this RG.He just plays terrible tennis atm and is looking like scared lamb.Agree with Djokovic he seems can’t catch a break these days. And Nadal,he will try his absolute best..

TTW has agenda driven predictions. I also see how good he is. It's what makes him odds on favorite even in presence of Nadal and Djokovic.

Would love to see how he handles Nadal's shoulder height strokes, especially serves if he plays Nadal at RG though. Djokovic was best at dealing with it and he was clearly struggling at 6',2".

he has the level, then the circumstances have to be right, anything can happen

Provided Nadal is allowed to play his game. Alcaraz with his monster forehand and exquisite drop shots is a deadly combination. I don't give Nadal a chance. He's not played for months and his fitness is questionable. You can never rule Rafa out but there's reason why Alcaraz is bookies' favourite.

Nadal is allowed to lol. Nadal is always allowed to play his game. He decides if others are allowed to or not. Even if he is unfit, he will literally stand and deliver vicious forehands jumping above players shoulders.

I don’t blame Djokovic at all for staying intense. I’ve seen it 100 times, just look at when Dimitrov lost to Kozlov. Kozlov fell over with a straight leg cause he was cramping in the second set. Dimitrov ended up losing that match.

Cramporaz disables Raz.
Raz is barely able to finish the match.
