Go to the doctor!!!!! Skip the Tourney.. you only get two knees

you could play the tourney and poss loose and hurt yourself even more...

or wait for treatment and live to fight another day.

I feel for you. I was recovering fr my 3rd knee surgery and had a bike race I was aiming for. Feeling very good and starting to cross train and do some tough sprint drills on the bike, I was excited to get back to racing. ACL blew the week prior to the race...

The knee surgeries I had prior to the ACL tear was for my meniscus. The ACL was a bit loose and I was able to play sports for years with a brace on. The Dr cleared me to get back to training and my torn ACL was just bound to happen...alas right before I was ready to race.

get well and play another day...besides it might rain on the day of the tourney...

Just spent 18 months with knee pain putting off treatment.
Had surgery 2 weeks ago, and feel i can get back to the courts in a couple of weeks for sure. I feel that i damaged the knee during my denial period and would have been better served to have taken care of it immediately. Having had 2 previous ACL surgeries and therefore a little personal experience, bite the bullet and take care of that knee first. Do not as many have stated take a chance with your body, there is a good chance you will play better once your knee is fixed. Avoid further damage at all costs.

I went, he told me to do ecogram, but it ll take for weeks till i get the results

My knee doctor did the x-ray and the MRI in his office (same day) and read the MRI that night. That was the 1st appointment. 1.5 hours for all..

Good luck..
Steve

You might consider telling us WHERE the pain is, and under exactly what conditions does it hurt you.
Oh, oh, that's right. It's your knee, and it hurts when you bend it.

You went to your doctor and are now asking advice here? Crazy. Two weeks to do what your doctor advises is way better than blowing your knee out trying to play on it.

I think you'd be crazy to play in a tournament if your knee hurts.

That said, I had "runner's knee" (pain behind the kneecap) and got rid of it by simply stretching my hamstrings and calves 3 times a day and working on strengthening my quadriceps. A lot of knee problems are caused by tight or out-of-balance muscles pulling the knee out of alignment. I don't know whether that routine would work for you, though, and it's certainly not going to work in 24 hours.

Tournaments come and go. Ignoring injuries can result lifetime issues. Why even risk it? There will always be more tourneys to play in.
