I just tried Babolats new Pure Storm GT

The new Pure storms are going to be hot seller now with the GT technology it makes the frames feel more solid than the current models.

Also it seems that Babolat is going to color all their racquets one color for each model. So the pure storm ltd will look like the pure storm, pure storm tour and pure storm plus. Oh yeah the frames are white and red and will be coming out in august.

Also babolat is making a new dampner called the sonic damp it actually whistles when you swing but doesn't make any noises if your racquet is not perpendicular to the ground. Don't worry about the whistle noise it's not that loud it's about at loud as you swinging a blank frame making that whoosh noise. It's just a different sound.

This racquet is amazing. It is great from the backcourt as well as the net. Anyone who likes to play from the backcourt but sneak in and finish at the net will love it. I think its great for doubles too.

A redundant question.... but will these new Pure Storms havethat 'reminder' at 12 o'clock... LEAD TAPE HERE ... I always loved the paint-job on the sticks.. performance was so-so, but always hated that little 'reminder'.

What ever happened to the original Pure Control (black frame, red highlights)?

I thought that was Babolat's best frame at the time, just a tad too heavy for a OHBH. This new frame is closer in specs to that Pure Control, so Im interested in giving it a try.

You have to try the Pure Storm GT and the Pure Storm Tour GT. I think the Pure Control is one of the best racquets ever made, so I approach racquets from that opinion. I really like the Pure Storm (non-tour) GT. I never tried the original and didnt really plan on trying this one, but after I did I was pleasantly surprised. I don't want to get off the court now, that is how much I like hitting with it.
