Let's just talk reality here for a second. There's a reason these frames are so highly coveted. The first thing I do when I play someone new is check to see if they have RF97's. If not, I just start laughing because I know it's probably going to be another easy W for Booger.

brb INSTANTLY add 10mph to your serve and 5mph to your groundies
brb designed by the GOAT himself, it seriously feels like he's guiding every shot
brb new one has patented black velvet paint technology, the ultimate luxury finish
brb first time I played with mine, a young hottie told me "it's super sexy"
brb every drooling TT poster tries to beat you with his $20 thrift store junk frame, but folds like a house of cards after the first backhand passing shot blows by him
brb perfect weight and balance for anyone who is at least as strong as an infant
brb EZ intimidation, players know you're for real when they see you pulling one of these out of the holster
brb only real pro stock-ish frame on the market
brb will go down as the GOAT frame
brb you probably spend more on sperrys and polo shirts every year
brb 14 out of top 20 players use one, biggest secret on the tour!
brb lol'ing @ you so hard right now

I bet a lot tt posters from the angell and pt57a threads would give you a run for your money with their pro stock like sticks ;-)

Second thing you should do is check if your opponent is using a Babolat AeroPro Drive.

What's Roger's H2H against Rafa again?

Oh Yeah, that's right 23 - 11 in Rafa's favour. Oh and 9 -2 in Rafa's favour.

See, Rafa's so good he doesn't need a racquet named after him. Everyone knows that the AeroPro Drive is Rafa's racquet ;)

OP, I'd change the grip on the red/black RF or you might end up with a cracked frame should it slip off your hand next time you pop a 130mph+ serve.

True story.

I actually own 3 of them but don't use them anylonger.
But Before every match I rub my current racquets on the RFs to refresh the mojo.

It works, trust me. You'll have to rub them at least 1 min each side.
Rafa will be overjoyed to hear this!

Certainly not because he likes using more time than necessary and letting his opponent wait, he'd NEVER do that ;)

I could careless what they use. I never judge a player by there stick. It is how they use it that matters with their style. form and strategy of play.
They may have a nice black RF 97 and a special letter in there pants. And a billy GOAT tattooed on there arm...
But I will work real hard , fast making them wear off the (nike zoom vapor 9.5 RF bunny slippers) herringbone pattern off the bottom of the tennis shoes..
That is the drive and pure fun of tennis...
It is player versus player...not frame versus frame...
Even if they have golden dipped Swedish strings...

lololol you're over here playing 2D checkers while I'm playing 4D chess. You will never be the big dog on your local courts if you think racquets don't matter.

There are a lot of factors and the racquet is one of them. Anyone disagreeing could try playing with the Hello Kitty racquet at TW.

LOL..sure you are so right, everyone with the RF97 has won against me and will!
Well I am so glad you are king in your local/courts league. So happy you can buy your wins with your magical RF97 playing 4D chess against your sponge bob carrying opponents.
I believe you, racquets matter to you.. o big dog. Now wait I do remember playing a little chess (team) in high school and college also (no checkers sorry).
Yep tennis too but that is not important, the racquet is way way more important (cough).
Now wait, remembering chess (w/ 2D,4D, RF edition) it does move a bit slow. I bet that is perfect for you.
Definition of a Booger = a piece of dried nasal mucus. Is your frame a 25 incher...?
Have fun on the courts.....
Swing matters...

Why 'dried'? Moisture or no moisture, it's still a booger.

Old school vs. new school. RF97 blows the doors off "classic" racquets.

Nope. I've had both and the KPS88 had more pop and spin (not sure how but it did) than the 97A. Of course the 97A is bigger so presumably less shanks.

I still have a 97A but it's one of the limited edition ones - never using it.

If I ever get the chance to serve you up a couple breadsticks, I will point to my racquet after every winner just to remind you that it's not so much me hitting those as it is the frame itself.

RF97 is king of frames. The end. Those other frames don't even have velvet paint technology. It's not rocket surgery.

With all these posts you show how narrow mind you are.
Let me remind you that Fed won all his Slams with PS 90, and nothing with RF97. He's just getting older, that's why he've changed the racquet to a bigger head one. Also, as I think, it's a Wilson market strategy, to let those persons like you pushed to buy a new racquet. It's a player and his skills rule the game not certain racquet model.

If any person has a good technique he/she can play with any type of racquet, even with a frying pan, just need take some time to adjust to it.

You sound very bitter that you don't also have an RF97. Why is that?

This is Scimitar vs Long Sword kind of debate... want light and fast or heavy and powerful?

Nadal uses a Scimitar.
Murray uses a Claymore...

The question is how to find a Katana... light, fast and powerful

Wrong blindfolded conclusion. I tried this racquet during our local Wison tests, and i think that is the best stock racquet Wilson has NOW. I could play only wiith it 'cause it was stock 340gr, the rest racquets were much lighter. It's a good racquet but nothing outstanding. I don't know if they still making Blade 93, but they quit with PS 90. Just forget, they have now reissue of PS 6.1 Classic, but it wasn't available during those tests. So if this reissue is quite similar to original one it will be the best Wilson current production stick, RF97 will be second, on my point of view. And, yes, i have to add about 15-20gr of lead to it (as someone mentioned above) to bring it to my playing specs (i usually play with 355-365gr).
So, i repeat, it's a good but not outstanding frame. I have more than 200 in my collection (and i tried even more) and i can say there are many racquets i like more than RF97. Maybe if i try heavier version i will like it better, but it is still has 97' head, i prefer smaller no more than 95'.

It's also very strange for me that you mention such pros of RF97 as "a young hottie told me "it's super sexy", "has patented black velvet paint technology, the ultimate luxury finish", these are a little baby' or girly' things. I absolutely don't care what other people, especially girls, will say about my racquet. The same with the colour, yes, i like black and blue colour frames, but it can be even guano colour if it will be good.
Concerning "only real pro stock-ish frame on the market", i like all Angells frames more. As i told above, Wilson reissue of PS 6.1 Classic can be better (don't try - don't know, the original one is better).

WTF? That Made in China stick? LOL.

I doubt it can suffer more than 10 forehands from a Ti Radical, made in Kennelbach, by the most talented craftsmen in Europe.

Ti. Radical even greater than nowadays Pro-stocks.
