IGA Is tennis right now on ladies side. By far the greatest player the last decade and today was historical and we were all blessed to witness it. She transcends the sport.

I mean her opponent couldn't keep the ball inside of the court of her life depended on it. So not sure why people think she was that wonderful.

I think Sabalenka could have won of she had made it into the final.

If she didn't have super annoying 45 second serve preparation like Djokovic back in the day, the match would be over in half an hour.​

I wonder if Sabalenka is a tad embarrassed that the girl who beat her in the semis got destroyed like this in the final?? :unsure:
 
The woman who played the final was a nervous wreck, according to pundits, so the same woman did not play the final.

No way. Conditions suited Swiatek v Sabalenka today had they played. Iga would have avenged the FO loss, which was an indoor match. No way Sabalenka beats Iga outdoors on clay or grass when conditions are liek they were this year due to the heat

Conditions made it more like a hard court where Sabalenka definitely has an edge.

Hard or clay? Think when it gets as dusty as it has been the last week its more of a clay court than hard court movement wise for the players as they will be sliding still but the bounce is higher.

No tennis player should ever gift a game because unlike timed sports, a comeback is always possible. Machac just came back from 0-5 down in the 5th set and won a match at Wimbledon last year. If you decide to let your foot off the gas, you are losing focus, and if you lose focus on winning, you’re in big trouble. Also, most pro players would feel insulted if they felt you were gifting them a pity game. It’s like you’re so beneath me, I don’t even have to try.
 
IMO Aryna and Anisimova (and Radacanu, Osaka, et al.) obviously have nowhere near the mental game Swiatek does. Barty was probably a tough cookie too. The Williams' sisters had freakin' Rick Macci. Sabalenka's tik toks are the worst. Anisimova probably has some personal issues that need to be sorted. Radacanu's struggles are not her fault, but her coaches'. Osaka is a headcase. I guess we are human.
