I am trying to decide between the Wilson BLX 6.1 95 18/20, the Babolat aeropro drive gt,and the Babolat pure storm tour (or ltd) gt as my new racket. I am a 4.5 allcourt player with a semiwestern forehand and a 1hbh. I have an all around play style and a long/fast swingstyle. I am currently using the Head liquidmetal radical mid+. If anyone has any suggestions I would be very grateful. Thanks.

i have a similar game, semiwestern and 1hbh, i voted for the PST GT but personally i would reccomend the last model of the pure storm tour, the red and black one. the new GT version has lost all of its amazing plush feel and feels stiff and lifeless. go with the older PST plus youll same money buying a new one

Really? I have a friend that switched from the PST to the GT version recently and he likes the GT a lot more. Oh well, he plays a lot differently than I do. If I do go with the PST I might not get the GT unless I demo it and find that it doesn't make the racket better.

I have 4 BLX 95 18X20 & 4 BABOLAT PS TOUR GT, so I maybe able to help you.

I also have an all court game, 4.5 - 5.0 level rating, a one handed eastern BACKHAND and a semi western forehand (when I need spin and safety from the baseline) and a more classic forehand for flat winners.

I wish I could vote for both the PST GT & the BLX 95 18X20, but in the end gave the BLX my vote, because even though I hate the paintjob, I must admit that Wilson made small but actual improvements on the BLX and made it play softer than the stiff [K] FACTOR 95, and improved on feel compared the the older N Code, which makes the BLX 95 18X20 one of the best racquets........in a loooong time from Wilson.

Still the Babolat PS TOUR GT is an AWESOME racquet. Nice spin, needs a bit of lead @ 9, 12 & 3 and you have a serve monster right there with good overall feel and nice pace and spin production.

I can't decide - so I have 4 of each. Love them both. Have only playtested my 4 new BLX 95 18X20 shortly, because I'm sick ATM, but as said - it plays really really nice too.

I also had 4 of the old Babolat Pure Storm Tour CarbonX, and must say that I prefer the new GT version to the old one. The GT version has a better crisp feel and don't feel as mushy and soft as the old had a tendency to do for me.

I think that the APDCGT would compliment your fast swing. It is also lighter than the other racquets so you could add some weight and it not be as cumbersome.
The other users have posted some really useful information, and I'm sure there is something here to add some confidence to a slight inclination that you have toward one specific racquet.
Good Luck.:)

Thank you!!

Thank you so much for the helpful comments. I think I will go for one more demo session with the apd gt, blx 6.1 18/20, and the pst gt before making a final decision. Thanks again. :)

I've not tried the Wilson, and I'm not one for such a high swingweight (consider this in your decision), but the Babolat Pure Storm Limited GT was the racquet I learned to do a one-handed backhand with. I think these two are the ones you should consider, given a one-handed backhand.

My former stick, the Pure Storm Tour, seemed a bit sluggish for it, and I know the new GT version is even heavier. I don't know how the AeroPro Drive would be, but my impression has been that most Babolats are baseline-oriented, and maybe even two-handed backhand oriented.

Just my $0.02. :)

sounds like I have a similar game to yours and I'm currently switching to the Six One 95 BLX 18x20, I've demoed it a lot and loved it, I bought my first one this weekend and played with it today and it's awesome, definitely demo this stick
