I need to restring my racquet; try something new; small string selection?

Hey everyone. I just broke my strings again today and I kind of want to try something different than what I normally do.

I normally use Gamma TNT2 Fusion 16 @64 lbs... except I just want to see what else I could use. I'm not a very experienced player, so I can't say that I've tried too many strings, like Blue Gear, Red Code, or whatever you guys all love using :?

The only strings I have that I have to use are:
Gamma TNT2 Fusion 16
Wilson Hollow Core 16
Babolat Pro Hurricane Tour
Gamma TNT2 Fusion 19
Kirschbaum Spiky Shark 17
MSV Focus Hex 17L
Gosen Polylon Ice 16
Or a random regular synthetic gut.

Its a rather small string selection.

A little about me. I prefer as much spin potential as possible, followed by as much control. I don't want too much power, and the durability should be decent. My previous strings lasted about 35 hours over a period of 6 weeks, so anything around there is good.

What would you suggest? Hybrids, full jobs, anything works.

If you prefer as much spin potential as possible followed by control, it sounds like Babolat PHT (pro hurricane tour), and Pro Supex Blue Gear would work for you. Both are poly's and durable, but actually using them for 6 weeks... might hurt your arm.

Well, I know PHT is good for spin, with a good balance of power and control, from what I've heard. But what do I do with it? String it full, hybrid with something else, what tension, etc.? I have little experience with hybrid strings, so I don't really know what to expect if I hybrid strings.

Also, like previously stated, I have no way of getting Blue Gear... I want to try that so badly!

MSV Focus Hex, from what I've heard, is a GREAT string.

I've a reel of Polyon Ice 16 and IMO it plays as well as Luxilon. Not to mention it looks GREAT in a hybrid :) One of my hobbies is telling 3.0's and below that my stringer got lazy and only did the crosses

i used PHT. spin is amazing, perfect control, good power, amazing durability. all around great string. it goes dead really fast. so let is sit for 24 hours before using.

I'd try the PHT in the mains, with a syn gut or multi in the crosses. I haven't tried the MSV Focus Hex yet, but I've heard it's soft enough to put in the whole racquet.

Hey, any chance you could send me two sets of that to try? For all the bad feedback (a ton of it), it seems that very few people actually have the string...

Absolutely, drop me an email with your address and I'll get it out ASAP.

Christmas is over though, so I'm not feeling charitable anymore. I'll have to make you pay for shipping
