I.Prestige vs. Microgel Prestige(both MP)

A guy I met today is offering to sell me 3 for an extremely low price. I haven't played with the i.Prestige yet, so I wanted to see how it compares with my Microgel. I wouldn't mind having it as my first racket if its better than the Microgel. The only thing that concerns me is the i.Prestige's stiffness, because of my elbow problems. The Microgel has great control, but at the same time, I wouldn't mind an upgrade in that category. Can someone comment on the aspects of both rackets, emphasizing their amount of control?

I know the i.Prestige is the same mold that the PT57e/a's are made from, so I know they are excellent racket. The price is almost too good to be true, so I really want to pull the triger.

Thanks ahead of time for any help!

Difficult...

The i. Prestige is a great frame imo. A lot of quality in terms of solidness, touch, precision, control, balance, weighting, quality build. However, it is renowned for being a bit stiff, and I concur... not Babolat-like stiff or PSC /HPS 6.1-like stiff, but a bit stiff none-the-less. I can't say if it's too stiff for you though....

Sorry, haven't played MGP.

I agree the i.prestige mp is a little stiff, its hard to put your finger on it but it didnt feel right to me. I had 2 made in austria i.P's and they differed in weight and balance, i think one had already been customised for a pro. Nice cosmetic tho!
The MGMP isjust missing something for me, nice racket, does everything well, just not that x factor.
Personally if you are looking for that something extra you may find it in an older radical like the twin tube. Its the same mold as the pt57A is pro stock light and customisable, build quality is excellent, its soft and in my opinion beats the prestige hands down when customised and is probably closer to a pro stock model than anything else, without the price tag.
The heavier zebra and bumblebee MP's are worth a look too.

Same mold does not make it the same (or even similar feel) racket...
In fact, the PT57E and iPrestige MP are VERY different sticks.
The iPrestige is an excellent stick. If you can get a good deal, take it. Yes, it is stiffer than the PG Prestige MP, but not too bad. I used it for about 6-8 months and loved it.

In the worst case, it is a desired stick, so if you don't like it, you should be able to cover your cost...

I can not think of a single reason to recommend the MGP over the iPrestige. IMO the iPrestige is better at everything. The stiffness is not an issue unless you frame it a lot

The I Prestige MP is stiff and difficult to swing especially comming from "softer" Prestige models. I've owned it. Tried over a 6 month period of time to like it, but it was just too stiff and heavy for my tastes even with tension reduction. I'd definetly recommend a demo session if possible to see if it's for you. Althought it would not be a fair assesment (strings play a major role on how a racquet feels and plays), it should give you a jist on how and if you'd adjust to its static and swing weight.
