I stand by Kvitova, The Big Eyed Princess of Wimbledon

Petra started her Wimbledon 2015 journey with a 35 minutes win over Bertens, 6-1, 6-0.
The only point Bertens won on Kvitova's serve came in the last game of the match when Petra double-faulted!

Way to go Petra! What a great start.

Your story is contradicting. It's Petra who has the big eyes lol. So the fairy tale should go like this:

Petra: Pojd!!!
Serena: What a deep voice you have!
Petra: The better to greet you with.
Serena: Goodness, what big eyes you have!
Petra: The better to see you with.
Serena: And what big hands you have!
Petra: The better to serve you with
Serena: What a big mouth you have
Petra: The better to eat you with!

Dear Petra
Let us embark on a renewed campaign of crusade.

Crusade in which you will crush down the infidels and deliver us from the disease of darkness which is spreading.

Redeem. Redeem. Redeem.

Make us proud of living once again!

Petra s awesome on grass. She should beat Serena if they play. Serena wont be able to counter those awesome serves of Petra.

Petra on grass is better than Serena these days, given Serenas age.

Am I the only one who think she's one of the most complete WTA players? Just lacking that consistency to perform throughout the season.

I enjoying watching her, when she is in full flow. I like her attacking game. My only concern is that she can blow hot and cold a lot.

In the second round, Petra just beat Nara 6-2, 6-0 in 57 minutes!

Going strong! Hey Serena, be afraid, be very afraid.

Kvivota is on fire, playing even better than she did last year when she won Wimbledon.

Serena can only hope that someone takes her out because Serena will not beat her if they ever meet.

Even Sharapova would rather face Serena than red hot Kvitova.

I'd definitely stand behind Kitty if you know what I mean *wink wink* *nudge nudge* Anyway, someone's gotta dethrone that Williams sister.

It remains to be seen. The only measure we have is Serena beating Kvitova at Wimbledon.

I'm starting to think you're reverse jinxing Serena Williams. You always say these things and she always ends up winning. Nobody enjoys being wrong that often, which makes me think you're doing it on purpose.

No. He's hoping some Serena fan takes the bait so he can go on and on about how hateful we all are, like in the other thread. Sadly, someone probably will...

...Anyway, I really don't see anyone giving Kvitty trouble until the final. Lisicki or Kerber could, but Petra seems to be in full flight gut right now, so iI don't think they will. Hopefully the final is a real cracker! Really want to see 1 and 2 go at it, but Serena has to get through Venus, Vika and Sharpie first. Watch heather Watson knock her out early lol. Final should be great regardless of who comes through the top half.

The first big test is Jankovic in R3. Jankovic is a dangerous opponent. Former #1. Trained at Bolletierii's. I predict Kvitova will lose to Jankovic in R3.

Opinion is not allow?o_O

Anyone who's watching tennis right now will tell you that Kivitova is playing at the highest level and is the player to beat. As much as some Serena fans don't want to believe, but they're afraid of Kivitova.

Haha see how he does? No one would take the bait, so now he's just making stuff up. Keep trying, I'm sure you'll get someone to help you derail Petra's thread. :)

Edit: yes I see the irony that I keep responding. I will stop now.

Except "level" as an abstract unit doesn't win matches. The only way we can tell if someone's playing better than someone else is when they actually face each other. And the data we have as we speak favors Serena: she's won the titles more times than Kvitova, she's beaten Kvitova at this tournament, she's just won the first two Slams of the season. If Kvitova beats her it'll be an upset, whichever way you put it.

Kvitova may be good against players who can't hit a ball. We shall see what happens in R3 when Kvitova comes up against a real opponent Jankovic.

She will maul JJ on grass. Outdoor hardcourts (esp in USA) might be another story. But this is Wimbledon.
H2H speaks otherwise. Plus Jankovic has better stamina and more experience. There's nothing special about grass anymore. The surface is as slow as clay at RG. All 4 slams now have the same surface speed. It was a deliberate move by ITF to draw out rallies.

Kvitova beat Williams in Madrid this year and she is the last champion.
She is currently in top form and can beat anybody on grass.
Serena will have to face Azarenka and Sharapova before the final. Although she is the favorite in both match-ups, they will tire her mentally and physically. I don't expect Kerber to cause a problem to Petra but Lisicki is always a threat in Wimbledon.

Madrid is not a slam. Serena barely puts 10 % of effort into anything that's not a slam. How about RG? Who's the champ there? Yup, not Kvitova.

Things are going as drawn out for Kvitova until the round of 16, with Jankovic in the 3rd round and likely Radwanska next, but the quarterfinal and semifinal have completely opened up for her. No Makarova in the QF's. No Halep in the SF's. She'll likely get Keys in the QF's and one of Wozniacki, Kerber or Lisicki in the SF's.

That's why Serena won every GS tournament she played, right?
Lol and how many does kvitova have. Serena could literally sneeze out 2 slams. She pretty much did at AO and FO. She's achieved more in the last year what kvitova might not ever achieve in her life.

Jesus, this pirate dude has been here 9 years?! This place must have really sucked back then. Not a great player unless you win 20+ Slams, & JJ will beat Petra next partly because Aga did in a completely unrelated past tourney. Okay, on to ignore for this fool.

Just to reiterate, there are apparently only 3 "great" players in the history of this sport. Just 3. Unreal.

Grass has been slowed down over the years and now it's as slow as hardcourt.
The grass has been slowed down but it is not as slow as most hc surfaces and there is no doubt Kvitova plays her best at Wimbledon.

If she lets current form Radwanska beat her at Wimbledon she should consider retirement.

He can't be here for 9 years 'cause he sounds like a 9 year old. I'm ignoring him too.
