Except "level" as an abstract unit doesn't win matches. The only way we can tell if someone's playing better than someone else is when they actually face each other. And the data we have as we speak favors Serena: she's won the titles more times than Kvitova, she's beaten Kvitova at this tournament, she's just won the first two Slams of the season. If Kvitova beats her it'll be an upset, whichever way you put it.

H2H speaks otherwise. Plus Jankovic has better stamina and more experience. There's nothing special about grass anymore. The surface is as slow as clay at RG. All 4 slams now have the same surface speed. It was a deliberate move by ITF to draw out rallies.

Not all. Serena was not confident before winning 20 slams. You are not a great player unless you win 20+ slams.
