Do you guys remember when we would celebrate after each match, and never let this thread fall back to page 2?

I think we need to make the #BOTE great again!

The Eagle will soar high above the low-flying ordinary Berd tomorrow and give the BOTE the wind beneath our collective wings!

Berdych hasn't beaten Federer in 4 years. It's been 6 straight wins ever since 2013 Dubai, Bird's last win. I still remember the days when Berdych was one of the most tryhard players when going against Federer. There used to be quite some friction between them, which seemed to motivate Tomas to pull some upsets or even some big scares (2009 AO) midway in their rivalry.

    I don't believe in Berd.

    Or Head.

    Wilson and Bandanas only.

    Thanks.

Birdman beat Roger at both Wimbledon and the USO and I have never quite forgiven him for either. He needs an annihilation tomorrow, like in the AO!

Never ever ever thought anything like this would happen for Federer in 2017. Loving it though.

I wonder if a new thread called Flight of the Golden Phoenix is appropriate?

I feel saddened by the fact that when the Lord decides to retire, I'm not really sure I'm gonna watch tennis anymore. :(

It's been a lot of fun for nearly two decades though, hasn't it? The '16 layoff was a soft transition for the eventual harsh reality of shifting to a very weak era. I am better prepared as a result.

I on the other hand was only brutally reminded of how rare Roger is. In his absence we were treated to next gen mugs, declining donkey Tennis (Nadal), declining robot tennis (Djokovic) and judo tennis (Murray).
I just don't see anyone picking up the slack any time soon. Kyrgios certainly have the X factor but the same goes for his head.

Noone strikes the ball like Fed.
    Noone moves like Fed.
Noone is as aggressive as Fed.
Noone has the variety like Fed.

    Saddening is what it is.

    But!

Let's rejoice that we are able to witness it.

Fear not. Rogr had one too back then. Lenny will drop it like a pile of hot rocks.

Unless, he's already anticipating Nadal Jr.???:eek::eek::mad:
