I like it. We spend life journey on earth. And during this journey we must know God and worship Him and develop a good relationship with Him just like children develop a good relationship with their father.
At the end we all must return to dust and our souls must return to Him.

I think also that in addition to knowing and loving God, thanking Him, that I also have a natural duty to serve Him.

Why do you want to serve anybody? That kind of thinking originated in the days of kings and slaves and was then transferred to religion.

god is human invention for psychological safety net created when people were even more ignorant and helpless than today, and hoped that if they propitiated an entity like god, good things would happen to them, similar to how the kings used to reward their slaves by throwing trinkets at them.

Human beings are not born "sinners" and there is no need to feel guilty or do anything to further the cause of a middleman priest class and their associated political friends.

I’m personally grappling with the temptation to submit to the notion that there’s no meaning to life.
