In Murray River (named for Sir Andy) Evo conquers Coric, 5 and 6. Two straight set victories, both ending in tiebreaks, within 24 hours. Well done.
Mo may propel him through Chardy. Mo as in momentum, not as in Lahyani.A better rested Chardy awaits...Stanimal gave a QF walkover to the Frenchman.
A 0-3 h2h needs to be addressed and corrected.
Next up for Evo is Coric, who removed Kyrgios earlier today.
Not shown on TennisTV or Tennis Channel - couldn't find it on other streams, had to watch active scoreline on Britwatchsports.com. Strange, TennisTV did cover a few Murray River matches, but NOT Dan's. If/when he comes to end game, maybe they'll show it. I live in hope.what was that match like? didnt they have words on twitter? must have been awkward.

He lost in a decisive 3rd set TB at Delray’19 final vs Radu Albot in the same situation where both finalists were trying to bag that first title. Hopefully it’s a bit different result tomorrow. One more... one more... Fate will not be so cruel as to make him very close to a title again, only to miss. Surely FAA will once again lose in final? Not to worry, though, because FAA is sure to win one this year or next, whereas Brummie Dan doesn't have as much time.
Hey, I’m just here for the drinks along the pub crawl.Yes, the Delray loss still sticks in the gut, and is most of the basis for the rabid enthusiasm danfans will feel until he takes himself, and us, over the line.
That's a resultBtw, TennisTv has graciously decided to show both the Travaglia/Sinner Great Ocean Road and Evans/FAA Murray River finals.
High saline levels in that river from all those lost Melbourne finals, no?First Brit to win an ATP title since Edmund in New York last year and he did it at the Murray River Open. Could there have been a more appropriately named event for a British player to make his maiden ATP title?![]()

Dan the Man just took all that salt and rubbed it into his palms! Becomes the first British player to win a final in Melbourne!!![]()

Peaky Blinder, 21st century style.
Murray won another in 2016, no?
I’m sure you started a thread about it, omitting any reference to a Brazilian who made it all possible.A final in Melbourne? Which one was that??

Oh nose! I will torment when I can!Nope, you've got me. Please put me out of my misery.
Felix is not alone. Travaglia has already played and lost; Sinner is about to start. They all thank Craig Tiley profusely for his concern about their well-being.Watched the replay, solid performance never let FAA settle, surprised to see Felix having to play 1st rnd AO so soon after but safely through.
They're already on the location, which is better than the 250s before a Slam in other instances. Also they made the decision to enter themselves.Felix is not alone. They entered with the expectation the finals would be played on Saturday. The unexpected lockdown for a day should have made AO start on Tuesday but greedy/stubborn Tiley had to ignore the well-being of the players just to meet his schedule. They're already on the location, which is better than the 250s before a Slam in other instances. Bo5 on consecutive days isn't great either. IMO they should count their lucky stars they had prep tournaments at Melbourne park itself. They entered with the expectation the finals would be played on Saturday. Nobody would have to play back to back Bo5 with all that rest time at the QF/SF stages. Their staggered SF schedule could have been eliminated and freed up the scheduling dilemma.Bo5 on consecutive days isn't great either. OMG! How did I miss this historic event???!! A belated congrats to all fellow crawlers, and to the man himself! Cheers! No more crawling! Mission accomplished!
