I think I have Kindle finger

I type most ttw posts on a Kindle ... some on a PC with a keyboard. My index finger is starting to complain I think from all the index finger typing/poking on the Kindle. Mainly at the joint where the finger joins the hand, but also some on the middle knuckle. Not a constant pain ... but all of a sudden a grab and pain (some popping ... haven't narrowed that down yet).

That would be ironic if typing about tennis kept you from playing tennis.

And let me beat Sureshs to the punch ... it could be a sign I should post less. ;)

And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell. Matthew 5:30

Why don't you post less?

I hear the Amazon Fire has more flex so it's easier on the finger.

Switch to an iPad Mini! Top of the line hardware that last and has a cool factor too! Yes it is expensive at around 7 time the cost of a Kindle but you may have less injuries!

I just need a dynamic index finger warm up ... it would be obvious with a middle finger injury.

Add this to the First World Problems Thread! Replace your KIndle with a smart phone and replace the Index Finger Injury with a Texting Thumbs Injury. Pick your poison. Me? I try to be smart and use a keyboard. TBH, my 'claws' kept breaking the screens on my mobile devices. :p

When will speech recognition be viable?
:(

I should consider 10 with larger sweet spot. The 8 is stiff and head heavy.

Poast reported for suggestive language.

Yeah ... I single finger type on my iPhone also. No doubt ... keyboard is the way to go. The tablet is nice reading posts, and watching video, and short posts like this one. It's those lengthy Ginger and Mary Anne threads that do the damage. ;)

It gives glare in the sun. Difficult to read outdoors. I was doing a lot of reading outdoors in the sun in winter but it was difficult with the glare or reflections.

I believe the Kindle does not have glare and has a much longer battery life.

Is the glare thing true about Kindle ?

I was wondering about buying a Kindle but don't know if i will be restricted to Kindle books or I can copy over my PDF's and ePub books as well.

Sureshs the Bionic Poster has a million posts from mobile device but experiences no finger pain.
Strangely enough, his poasts don't have that declaration at the end "Poasted from my ASDASDAD395 using Tapatalk"

Should we be concerned ? Has someone "kid"napped suresh and is using his account ?

I use my 3rd and 4th fingers for touchscreens+pads, on both hands, to navigate. Typing - it depends; but all in all no problem whatsoever.

You should do some exercises for your fingers, hands and wrists really - good for everything from everyday life tasks to playing sport and music. The same with your feet - it will make a difference with your movement and balance - I'm sure of that.

I have a Kindle Fire HD 8" . Also had the 7" Kindle.. You're not suppose to "poke" the keyboard. Here's how you do it. Approach the keyboard as if you were hitting a drop volley. Use the earth's gravity to move fingers toward keyboard. Once you feel the pressure of the board, relax the wrist, the tip of the finger will fall and rebound off the screen surface, cushioned by fluids in the knuckle joint. It's easy!

You are better at Kindle than greeting cards. :p

Got it ... work on my Kindle chain.
