I think my tennis days are over...

There's still a lot of room for improvement over your current setup to make it easier on your body. More flexible frame, lower tension, softer string, etc.

Checking this thread to see if op is Novak.

It could be many reasons - equipment, fitness, whether the amount of weekly play is consistent or if there are spikes. But all fixable with some thought and work.

Lots of people (above) are giving you good suggestions- exactly the kind of thing that helped me overcome
some early days of arm pain... but without actually seeing your form, style, technique, it is hard to make practical,
realistic suggestions. Some video would be helpful.

Shoulder and elbow pain is totally gone now.
Still using the Ultra 100 @45 lbs but considering switching to Head Speed MP, tried one and instantly loved it. Any opinion on this?

perhaps you try to hit harder or change to a stiffer string because its softer? Priority is staying healthy. What do you hope to gain by switching?

Singles at 35+ is incredibly hard on the body.

Singles 35+ can be hard on the body but it depends on a lot of factors. For a 35yo pro tennis player that has spent 30 years of their life on court, it's the end of the road.

For someone who perhaps stated tennis at age 30 and has limited lifetime wear and tear on their body, they have a lot more left in them.

this is the human body not a household appliance, if the 35 yo player has spent 30 years on the court assuming he is not playing like Nadal and also that he is using good form on all his strokes he should be in much better condition to keep playing for many years.

You obviously don't understand human physiology. We are a sum of our life experiences. It's no different to a car. The age is important, as is the mileage. People will last longer if they're playing social tennis obviously.. I'm talking high level competitors.

Update, I gave the Ultras to my sons and started playing with a Head Speed MP. More flex and also powerful. Pro staff 97L with leather grip is in the bag just in case I feel tempted by the dark side again.
Won a singles match today against a 10 years younger and more advanced player, or should I say more experienced?
Started serving flat again, arm is tired after 2 hours game but no soar.
