has run to watch the new Star Trek movie
I think Suresh
needs help locating his marbles !
who is sentinel?
Was I correct or not?
I had an opportunity to get a free ticket for the premiere at a local theater here, but couldn't go.
enjoys playing lawn bowls more than they're letting on.
The Sentinel I know watches old musicals (Fred Astaire etc) and mostly B&W movies, not these new-fangled techni-whatever monstrosities.
sentinel is pretty boring.
Judging from some of his poasts on the "Useless Information" thread, sentinel needs a little sleep on the job instead of keeping a keen eye wide open for us!
Was't Sentinel the guy who was into Isaac Asimov and sci fi stuff? I just assumed he would run to see Star Trek.
There are very few movies that are actually sci-fi although every other one seems to call itself one.
I am a sci-fi fan, but not a sci-fi movie fan. Most sci-fi movies are basically just war movies set in a future date, or a romance in the future, or some movie showing the whole world as a drug-ridden ghetto ... in the future.
Then there are fantasy movies that are called sci-fi. I won't take names since some have a cult following and i don't want death threats.
I saw Star Trek in my teens on telly and it was a joke. Like x-files and Star Wars. Sorry guys, nothing personal, just my opinionated opinion. May the farce be with you
Now let me get back to watching some old musical or screwball comedy. Or maybe Bob Le Flambeur or Casablanca, or West Side Story or Singin in the Rain ... or a Capra movie .. or a Wilder one ... or the Life of Emile Zola, or Lust for Life ...
Separate names with a comma.
