I thought the French Open was supposed to be on ESPN2 right now

I thought ESPN2 was supposed to show the French Open today (Sat.) from 1-3 pm PST (4-6pm EST)? But all that's been on for the past 40 minutes is college Lacrosse, and it looks like it will continue for quite some time since they're in the 1st period. What is going on?

BTW, I know NBC showed some this morning form 9am-12:00pm, but ESPN2 was suppsed to show an additional two hours this afternoon. WTF???

I know... I was so mad, because I was playing tennis this morning while it was on NBC, and I was hoping to watch on ESPN when I got home.

Yeah seriously, the only day I actually get to see the French Open other than short highlights (since it has only been on at 2 am on weekdays), lacrosse f***ing takes up the French Open timeslot because of a weather delay and overtime. On top of that they recap what happened RIGHT after the freaking lacrosse game finishes. The people over at ESPN are ***hats!

They (ESPN2) are playing highlights starting at 11 PM ET tonight. They also are showing highlights starting at 1 PM ET on Sunday. I don't know end times for both of the time slots mentioned, but I would assume they are both around two hours long.

Fantastic...I won't be home Sunday...Finesse15, where in PA do you live?
I am so bummed and pissed that espn2 had the nerve to say that when the lacross match was completed they would have the french open coverage immediately afterward. Guess what- match finished and now there is drag racing. So not only could they have shown the tennis during the lacross raindelay, they lied about coverage immediately following the lacross. I absolutely hate espn. If the tennis channel ever picks up steam, I will totally boycott espn.
BTW I am in bucks county, PA How about you and the others in PA?

Guess what? The highlight show is supposed to be on right now (8pm PST) and guess what's on? Women's college softball!!!! How big of an audience is there for this stuff? Is it more than tennis? More than college lacrosse? How many people actually play lacrosse?

So is ESPN sc*ewing tennis fans twice in one day by cancelling both French Open broadcasts? ESPN is the lowest of the low, lower than pond scum!!!

They will show highlights after that stupid softball ends. Really pathetic effort today on BSPN's behalf...

USCfan, I live in a NE suburb of Philly.

As for the coverage (or lack thereof) of the French Open, I must agree that while being dissappointed about ESPN2 completely blowing off tennis on Saturday during its scheduled time slot, there has been a lot of good coverage today (Sunday) both on ESPN2 and NBC.

And to think about it, I did get a lot of the Safin-Ferrero match taped Saturday at 11 PM ET (C'mon guys, it was only 10 hours after it was supposed to be played)
