I think the Australian is his best chance. It's early in the year; he's less tired. He can swing away and recover better. Then.. as far as the rest of the majors it's all Djokovic.
Of course he is playing his best tennis again like in 2015. His only problem is Djokovic who is a nightmare for everyone. I will post some stats later through my @Lew II account to prove this.
Problem is Fed can't last a long 5 set match unless it's against mental midgets or guys he can intimidate like Stan, Kei or Cilic.
Been that way since about 2011. With Novak you knew he had to win the 1st set to have a shot. And Novak is good getting that 1st set.
Fedr is looking good and will win the AO
The guy won 3 slams in the last two years, of course he has a shot at another one.
Well to be fair to Djoker he did lose to Karlovic at the same tournament 4 years ago and then went on to have one of his best years on tourRBA didn't find him to be a nightmare the other day.![]()

Healthy Nadal has never lost a match.I hate to break it to you Sport, but Nadal simply got his a** kicked that day. No problem with movement or mobility whatsoever. He was flying around the court. No excuses.
Not a single setHealthy Nadal has never lost a match.
On a serious note, maybe the word "injured" is too much. I see the Word "injured" is too polemical for RG 2009.
What about saying Nadal had some physical issues? It is undeniable Nadal was playing with some pain in the knee, otherwise he wouldn't have skipped Queens and Wimbledon citing pain in the knees since Madrid 2009. Nadal was the Queens and Wimbledon champion of 2008, he had no reason to skip both tournaments.
So yes, Soderling did beat prime Nadal. But a prime Nadal who was at 80-90% of his level, since he had some physical issues. (Again, I am not saying he was "injured", I am saying he had some physical issues since he was playing with pain in the knees).
Its a different thing to get outserved and get outrallied
I think he was trolling LEW...
Yeah I assumed he was being sarcastic, I was just joking haha
All he needs is for some rando to knock out the so called king of Aussie again and its title 21
Yeah, Karlovic on a good day can bomb the aces on anyone, including one of the best returners in the game in Djokovic. RBA does not possess such a weapon, and really has to grind and work for each point. I remember watching courtside in 2016 as he beat Marin Cilic at the Australian Open that year. When he's playing really well, he can be maddeningly frustrating to play against because he will make you play a lot of shots and extend the rallies. He gave Fed a really tough match last year in Shanghai too.
I already told you, he was the winner of both Queens 2008 and Wimbledon 2008 (defeating Federer in the final). So, could you tell me what you were missing, when you said the above?
The question is: what reasons did Nadal have to miss Wimbledon 2009?

Fed still can beat Djokovic in majors but not on HC. For Fed to win , someone like Stan/ Medvedev / Zverev should knock out Djokovic in an earlier round
Djokovic will get up to play if the opponent is Fed.
Djokovic is the heavy favorite for the next 2 majors
Sadly - I agree.Fed still can beat Djokovic in majors but not on HC. For Fed to win , someone like Stan/ Medvedev / Zverev should knock out Djokovic in an earlier round

Couldn’t disagree more. Same was said about Nadal and for much longer. Even though I’d heavily favour Djoko over Roger in a Bo5, Nole is not even close to any sort of unbeatable form. He can lose and recently has lost to a number of players and Fed would be favored to beat all of them. It would be a surprise, but it most definitely can happen.
Now the impossible feat would be Roger beating Rafa at RG. And if Nadal has a normal clay season, he’ll be the heavy favorite for RG, not Nole. Can’t see how you can claim otherwise, when Rafa absolutely butchered the competition for 2 years straight.
I already told you, he was the winner of both Queens 2008 and Wimbledon 2008 (defeating Federer in the final).
He already cited he had knee pain since Madrid 2009 and skipped both Queens 2009 and Wimbledon 2008 to fully recover from his knee pain.
