At the surface, Antarctica is a motionless and frozen landscape. Yet hundreds of miles down the Earth is moving at a rapid rate, new research has shown.
The study, led by Newcastle University, UK, and published this week in Earth and Planetary Science Letters, explains for the first time why the upward motion of the Earth's crust in the Northern Antarctic Peninsula is currently taking place so quickly.
Previous studies have shown the earth is 'rebounding' due to the overlying ice sheet shrinking in response to climate change. This movement of the land was understood to be due to an instantaneous, elastic response followed by a very slow uplift over thousands of years.
But GPS data collected by the international research team, involving experts from Newcastle University, UK; Durham University; DTU, Denmark; University of Tasmania, Australia; Hamilton College, New York; the University of Colorado and the University of Toulouse, France, has revealed that the land in this region is actually rising at a phenomenal rate of 15mm a year – much greater than can be accounted for by the present-day elastic response alone.
And they have shown for the first time how the mantle below the Earth's crust in the Antarctic Peninsula is flowing much faster than expected, probably due to subtle changes in temperature or chemical composition. This means it can flow more easily and so responds much more quickly to the lightening load hundreds of miles above it, changing the shape of the land.

CLIMATE CHANGE is part of a Universal process/cycle in which all the parts in a solar-system are effected.
Most of the time it is related to the elevated level of charged particles in the medium [specific type and composition of Space] the Solar-system and the Galaxy is travelling through.
NASA has confirmed more then a decade ago that the type of Space we are now moving through is different and more energetically charged then it was 50 years or 100 years ago.
This affects all the planets. They have confirmed that not only Earth is changing, but also Pluto and Uranus and many other moons.
This is a natural cyclic process.

Also the POLE-SHIFT is 1 of many natural occurring cycles. Just look at the Sun and we dont think it is strange that she changes [the charge of] poles every 11 years ...Plus becomes minus and Vice versa.
Within this cycle there is a more rare cycle in which not only THE CHARGE of the pole changes but also THE POSITION ! This can vary from a few % to a complete re-location ... We have 1 evidence that THAT has happened at least 1 time ---> The land beneath the ice on the poles is TROPICAL from ORIGIN !!! Ferns and tropical plants have been found in the deep sediments and more superficial ... They weren't our poles for eternity !
Besides that a ROTATION-CHANGE can occur. Then the Sun will rise again in the WEST and set down in the EAST. This isnt strange coz there are many old texts spread around the world that write about when the sun rose-in-the-west.
Scientific papers describe that the Earth is like a dynamo, and has been descending from its top-speed to a slow pace which is the result of un-coiling. The center-core of the Earth is not spinning as fast any more towards the end of that cycle and a slower motion results in a release of heat towards the crust [magma rise and re-location] this pushes against the plates and a slight expansion of the crust is the case.
Expansion of the crust makes water spread more, and the surfacing heat of the magma, along with the electromagnetic friction/heat of ions and other particles escaping the crust in this process, makes ICE MELT and spread around the expanded globe to cope with all the changes ... Coz WATER [salt and fresh water] neutralizes chemical processes and has the ability to stabilize bulk negative or positive charges released in this terraforming event.
