One way for me to try and gauge what I need to work on is when I start to notice that certain aspects of my game feels inefficient in the sense that it feels like I’m working harder than I should. For example, if my forearms or shoulders feel disproportionately sore after a match compared to my calves, perhaps I need to evaluate if I’m straining too hard on ground strokes or serves and not properly transferring weight and I need to address it.
So what would you say is an ideal distribution of the physical energy/work spent over 2 sets, assuming a general all court singles game? For example:
~60% running
~20% serves
~20% strokes/volleys
How would you break something like this down?
