Idiosyncratic 2hbh's... Nadal and Gulbis... who else?

These guys are two of the very few 2hbs that are slightly different in technique to the Djokovic-style of backhand. Djokovic's backhand is what 90% of guys with 2hbh's hit like, except they are not as good at it as Djokovic is, and they cannot do the open-stance sliding splits backhands from defensive positions because they are inferior athletes.

Nadal hits his backhand with a windshield-wiper finish. His top hand is more eastern backhand grip then the continental grip that is the norm, and his bottom hand is more extreme than usual as well. He has both arms straight at contact, unlike most who have one or both arms bent at contact. I think this is why Nadal struggles with higher balls to his backhand.

Gulbis has a pendulum style, straight take-back unlike the Djokovic loop, and he also closes the racket face significantly on the take-back. He does not have a windshield wiper finish, but seems to swing more upwards at the ball than most. His backhand off the high ball is probably the best on the tour right now.

As a backhand obsessive, I am always looking for players who use unconventional technique on their backhands. Who else with a 2hbh hits it weirdly?
