Nice try. Without peak Nadal in his way, Fed would have at least 25 major titles. Djoker choked too much during his peak.

You said it yourself, Fed couldnt get it done against Nadal.
It's never about winning a bunch of slams in a short period of time, like Federer. So what if Djokovic didnt win as much as Federer during his peak?
The fact that Djokovic is (hypothetically) able to win all 4 slams at 2 different times, at 2 different stages of his career is ridiculously impressive

He is already not far from Roger, i am a huge fan of both but there is no escaping the fact that Roger accumulated a few slams back when the opposition was much weaker.
To me Novak does not need to reach 20 slams to surpass Roger or even 17 to surpass Rafa.
All we can do is wait till they are all finished and take all the key factors of their career into consideration.
Right now i would just have Roger slightly ahead of them both but the margins are small

Please explain how being 7 slams removed from Federer means he is "already not far" from him? Seven slams is what ATG's like Mac and Wilander won. Never mind Novak is already 31 years old. Seven slams is a monumental haul for ANY player or ANY era.

Djoker has already won Novak Slam (which is his non-CYGS series) in the years 2015-16. Now he has a chance at Novak Slam II.

If Djokovic repeats 4 in a row it will mean he did just that for a 2nd time. I'd probably have him ahead of Nadal in that case tbh, especially if he wins the upcoming WTF and finishes YE #1 again, but I don't think he would seriously rival Federer quite yet in that scenario tbh. Ultimately a 4 slam difference is still too much from a statistical perspective in a slam driven era.
In comparison to Federer in this scenario I'll say this. People watching tennis in this time seem to be far too concerned about media buzzwords and overall hype. If Djoker wins four in a row (say he beats Federer in the AO Final for arguments sake) people will go crazy again for a certain period of time, but when the hype dies down and the bubble bursts, all things equal, Federer will be ahead of Novak by 4 slams. It might take a month for people to realize it in between DCGS and Career Golden Masters hype, and whatever else the ATP promotes, but eventually they will fall off cloud 9.

I know he wouldn't do it but for the mystique and aura if Novak retired after completing Calendar Slam and wins WTF he's got 18 Slams, tied for most YE #1 and most WTFs. He walks away without breaking the YE, WTF or Slam record but is on 6 in a row doing what what done only once over 80 years ago. Budge as most forget entered the pro tour after winning that 6th in a row and proceeded to win his first 3 pro Majors and 4 of 5 losing an all-time upset 1st round defeat Jahn Faunce albeit war-time 41 when he only played the USO pro. Yes there'd be plenty of 20>18 people but over time people would just start saying like Jordan or Barry Sanders that "all he has to do is play a few more seasons and there'd be no question, GOAT idiot".

Probably play Wimbledon but maybe no warm-ups. And maybe just two RG warm-ups or even possibly one warmup. No reason to skip Slams but scale back on other events. Also depends on how deep he goes in each event. Possibly skip Miami too if he goes deep in Indian Wells.
