I mean think of the advantage. When he hits his prime they would be 29 years old. He would go on a tear lol. Imagine peak Fed vs way past prime Nole and Rafa. 4 Calendar Grand Slams anyone??? :)

And they wouldn't have had the time to adjust to Feds game yet and to study it.
And No Mental Advantage over him.

Just trying to point out, that age matters. How would their h2h look like then?

If prime Fed could lose to baby nadal/djoker/murray then prime Fed could lose to old nadal/djoker/murray.

I love how, on this forum, so many of Federer's greatest accomplishments exist within the realm of completely unfalsifiable hypothesis.

Like how people said prime Federer would have won the 2013 Australian Open without dropping a set.

But the thing is Prime Fed didn't lose to baby Nole in slams.Old Fed was nr.1 vs peak Nole, Nadal.

Why is it so tough to imagine Peak Fed being nr.1 against 32 old versions of them.

He lost in 2008AO. Or did that loss not count because of mono?

So you are dismissing my theory just because of one single match?
That doesn't seem fair. And peak Fed ended after AO 2007.

I mean I'm not saying he would go undefeated. Just that peak Fed would be more dominant with weaker versions of Nadal and Nole.

Why? Because Nadal was pushing him at Wimbledon?

There are many other indications. Losses going into double digits for the first time in five years, just a single slam compared to 2 or 3 for four years, losing the nr 1 spot, losses to Stepanek, Fish, Blake.

Some of you guys are pathetic. 2008 was peak Fed? He lost to Roddick that year. He noticeably declined in 2007 from his 2004-2006 form. And 2008 was an even bigger dip.

If fed was 6 years younger, he would not have 17 slams /thread

There's no evidence to suggest that. In fact, there's no future players that can replace Nadal's and Nole's calibre(at least for now). So you can argue Fed would win just as much if not more.

There's no solace for the haters(mostly consist of bitter Peteclowns ever since Fed won RG and to rub it in won Wimby to get the channel slam in 09.)See,they will try to twist and turn Fed's records in different ways but at the end of the day #17 is what they have to see and that must be a nightmare to live with.

You said prime Fed never lost to baby Djokovic in slams. I said yes he did.

The only time Federer lost to Djokovic in a Slam before August 2010 when he was 29 years old (and had 2 match points to win nevertheless) was the 2008 Australian Open when Federer was sick.

Yeah Fed was sick in that match. Kinda like Nadal against Soderling and Rosol.

Federer is always sick when he loses. That is a truism that dates back to 1/2008.

Completely hypothetical. No point in discussing this. It will only be "guesses" at best. If "ifs" and "buts" were candies and nuts, we'd all have a Merry Christmas.

Federer - 93.35
Nadal - 39.43
Lendl - 36.10
Sampras - 24.71
Djokovic - 23.54

Another interesting question is if all three of these guys were the same age...I think Fed/Nadal would be neck and neck, with Djokovic not too far behind.
