I was thinking about that Martin Klizan guy. He's lefty and he has potential imo. He also doesnt play your usual grinding/pushing tennis, and I'm impressed by his FH.
This lead me to think about RF. Just imagine if he was lefty and played the same ((edited).
It would be insane to play against him, even if you're rafa
no?

What if Rafa played right handed and hit topspin forehands into Federer's backhand?

1) Nadal won't make as many as he does now.

2) Federer would run around and smack inside-out forehands off of those shots more often than not.

If he was a lefty but otherwise played the same he would be more successful almost certainly. While it might see some situations where it would seems to benefit his opponent if he was a lefty, the benefits to Federer would outweigh them in the vast majority of cases.

Not sure. Guys like Djokovic, Berdych, Del Potro, Soderling, Tsonga would be pounding cross court forehands to Federer's left-handed one-handed backhand all day long. Right now, they have to run around their own backhands to hit a more risky inside out forehand or hit a lower margin down the line shot to get that forehand to one-handed backhand advantage. The rallies would take on a different dimension.

However, for obvious reasons, he'd have less trouble with Nadal, so perhaps it balances out.

you mean, more unbeatable? like unbeatabler or the unbeatablest? who else is left to be beaten? ... this doesn't make any sense ...

I wonder how Federer would do against Nadal, assuming Nadal remains the same? I know it would now be forehand to forehand, backhand to backhand, but it would still be two South Paws having to adjust to playing another South Paw.

One day we mere mortals might be able to create truly realistic computer simulations of these scenarios on our home computers, that would be something to behold! :D

Yes... but, as I mentioned above, Federer would also be hitting his (generally superior) forehand into their backhand corners as well. And since he is a better mover, better reader of the game and has better positioning in the court than them it would be a net advantage to him, not them.

If they did as you say they'd have to try to hit the ball not into Federer's backhand half of the court but the furthermost backhand 1/4 of the court. Anything less and he'd be running around it or slicing it down the line to their backhand corner and at the net in the blink of an eye. The positional advantages he'd have over the slightly less mobile Berdych and Soderling in particular would be massively in his favour.

If Fed had 4 hands, 2 left handed and 2 right handed, he would be still the best, well almost. Crazy Nadal can probably still handle him.

I hope this makes his worshipers on this board happy. what a stupid thread btw.

I'm not sure what some of you are going to do when Federina retires. I hope you'll be able to live, lol.

do you think that Fed has the biggest pee pee too? I think Djoko and Rafa are much better in that area :). oops, I hope I don't get banned again.

With 2 forehands Fed would be able to crush anyone on tour, past present and future, especially *******. *******'s entire gameplan is built around picking on Fed's backhand.

That pretty much applies to Djokovic and Nadal too. A top guy with two mirror forehands would be impossible beat. Well, if it is Gasquet then it is possible.

delete post.
no Raging, I'm sorry If I came across that way ... you are are a great fan of Fed and I really respect you ... it's just I can't stand so many silly people here who are just worshipers and know nothing about tennis to begin with.

they open these stupid threads like 'Fed is the best', 'Fed this and that' ... it's just stupid. I feel the same about Murray, Djokovic or Nadal. I simply tend to be sarcastic and I don't like these type of threads. OK, again let's talk about tennis but when I see someone glorifying a tennis guy so much I feel sick.

Federer said that his was average in an interview. But Djokovic and Nadal don't talk about their sizes.
