If I like These strings, what else might I like?

OK hate to sound like a newb, but I think I might try some other strings out.
Only thing, is I notice the majority of Poly string MFGs are pushing "soft Polys"
I hate soft Polys.
SO heres what I like(d) In a loose order going from memory.
SpinX 17
Silver string 17
Pacific X-force 17
tourna BHS 17
Pacific Extreme 16L
Typhoon 16L
Gamma Fusion 19(Alu R cross)
Por suppex Big Ace 17
Blue gear 17
(Alu R 16L, Nice when new, but dies way to incredibly fast)
BB Ace 18 (gut cross)
Pro hurricane 18(multi cross)

Didint like(because the all felt too soft, or like crap)

Top spin Cyber blue
Polytec Cobra
Beast XP
Polystar Classic

Ive tried a number of others that were ok, Plasma Hex, cyberflash, MSV hex,Solinco Barbwire and so on, but would look for something else

Typically string at 60-61 on PT57/PT630 (at 5-6000 ft ele.)

I dont need detailed feed back, just throw me some names and Ill research them my self.
Im trying to find the most powerful string that isnt "soft", I hate the slingshot/mush feel, I want the most explosive feel I can get.

Twisted Razor has the low give feel. Wouldn't call it powerful though, you have to supply your own.

PS Strike had a firm feel and plenty of power.

Scorpion is just a great string across the board. Worth trying, just to set a high standard in most every respect.

More firm and muted than Scorp - WC B5E

I'm curious, you said you don't like soft polys, but isn't Silverstring supposed to be one of the softer polys out there? In my limited poly experience, it feels like one of the softest and most comfortable polys I've tried so far.

As for Silverstring, its about as soft as id go, I know it is a bit softer, but the pop it has with out feeling sling shot is, better than any "soft" poly ive tried.

Id rather call it, "comfortable" than soft.

I did order another set of SS and also BE5

Have you tried any Lux BB Original or ALU? Those are some REALLY stiff poly strings in my book, only bad part is the poor string life before going dead.

I would recommend WeissCANNON Black5Edge if you string it tighter, it will feel nice and stiff. Tour Bite is a good recommendation as well, it's fairly stiff and has decent tension maintenance.

tour bite 18g
bhb7 17g
ytex quadro 17g
Vokl cyclone 17g
spiky shark 17g
bhbr 17g
ytex: triple twister, octo twist, and penta twister

anything else?? I was kind of hoping there would be some more options.

I hit with my old PT57 with gamma fusion 19 mains and alu R crosses, Not bad.. but I can't deal with Alu any more, would have been much better if the Poly mains were not completely dead
Might try it with another Poly.

Sorry, but just about all of the new stuff is on the 'soft' side.
If you like what you are playing and they still make it, keep using it.
Or wait for the next market swing.
If there is something you're not getting from those others. consider one of the newer offerings like BHB7 or Iontec. Or even ZoVerve if it's in your budget.

Huh? everything ive heard about those is that they are soft, I would (am) going with Big hitter silver rough, over BHBR. Same with black code,.

Best way to know is to hit with them yourself. I guess I'm not sure what your definition of soft is then. I don't think these are as soft as MSV.

Big Hitter Silver Rough is working best for me right now, was/still am a fan of BHS. Both give a serious pop sound when I connect right (could be my shoulder tendon, I know) but I don't feel or hear that with the softer polys.

Yes Im just about to try BHSR,
BUT I just bought 6 packs of a string I liked before Technifibre Polyspin, I actually kind of liked it when it lost tension!
