If it were not for Federer - Djokovic - consecutive Grand Slam finals

Just realized that if it were not for Federer, Djokovic would be going for his 9th consecutive Grand Slam final at the 2013 U.S. Open.

Federer is the only male player in the open era to reach all four grand slam finals in two different years, even more amazing to do it two consecutive years. If it were not for Federer, Djokovic would have achieved this in 2011-2012. Sadly, being on opposite halfs of the draw (such a rarity), Federer can not deny Djokovic another final at this year's U.S. Open.

Fedfanaticisanartist conveniently forgot that Cvac lost in the semis at RG this year. Not surprising though, considering there must not be much room for thought in his head with all things related to Federer taking up most of the real estate.

That was the real final anyway. And Nadal didn't really beat him. More like, the net and Pascal Maria beat him.

Actually, "the net" was a fault of Novak's... Nadal should have beaten Novak in 3 or 4 at the most.... Nadal lost focus....
