If Jannik Sinner and Rafael Nadal were born in the same era, how many Roland Garros titles would Nadal have won?

How many RG titles does Nadal win if Sinner was born in the same era as him?

Let’s see how long he sticks to his prime. But I think he’d have “stolen” at least 1 out of his 14. He’s an ATG in the making after all, guys. Do you put his peak in 2025 on clay (including Rome) much below Wawrinka’s? Rafa is also prone to injuries and downs like in 2021, you know.
Nadal's record against Wawrinka is formidable. 19-3, and all 19 wins in straight sets. The 3 losses were at the 2014 Australian Open, 2015 Rome and 2015 Paris Indoor. Nadal was 2-2 with Wawrinka in 2015, which was a low year for Nadal.

Best to worst on RG

Nadal -- Alcaraz -- Sinner

Sinner has to challenge Alcaraz successfully before thinking of challenging Nadal's 14.

A simple logic and I concurred before. Nadal is the greatest player we have ever seen on clay and in one of the slams but every additional ATG would have made his feat harder.

Actually I believe that prime Sinner would have been a bad matchup for prime Nadal insofar they can exist on clay. It would go mostly baseline strength against strength and despite losing far more, Jannik would be a troublesome opponent tactically.

Seriously, after this AO, I am starting to believe that Jannik Sinner is literally unbeatable. In all my years of watching tennis, I have never seen a tennis player look this unbeatable, not even Federer in 2006, Nadal in 2010 or Djokovic during the first half of 2011.
Simply the highest level of tennis I have ever witnessed.
And I do truly mean it when I say that I think this version of Jannik is far too good to be beaten on any surface. You would have to nerf his current level of play to such an astronomical extent to enable him to get beaten by anyone, including prime Big 3.
Now, obviously, Nadal on clay is (or at least, was) considered to be by far the most unbeatable version of a tennis player ever. And especially at RG, he has a remarkable record of 112 wins and 4 losses!
Nevertheless, I do believe that the current version of Jannik Sinner can beat prime Nadal at RG, because his raw level is just far too high and I doubt that a transition from hard court to clay would be enough of a nerf.

So, what do you guys think? How many RG titles would Nadal have won if Jannik Sinner were born in the same era as him?
In my opinion, I would say definitely far less than 14: somewhere around 3-5.

Zero for sinner.

Sinner being around earlier actually could've resulted in more RGs for Nadal. Maybe Sinner is ranked high enough in 2021 and draws Novak in QF/SF and beats him. That means 2021 Nadal probably wins and thus ends up with 15 RG titles.
I assumed the question was would Sinner have won 14 or more RG titles. Old guy here needs to read more carefully, especially early in the morning. I seriously doubt that Sinner would ever beat Nadal at RG, especially after what happened at the AO today.

Seriously, Sinner has the biggest chance to do damages at Wimbledon. But I guess he'll come close to Federer's 8.
