If Med wins Rome, he will win the French from the looks of that draw
unless someone else takes out Alcaraz for him ... he CANNOT beat Alcaraz, which is annoying as he can easily beat Sinner ... who can beat Alcaraz...

F*cking bullsh*t Russian!! ;)

Tough to say.. Carlos is the favorite but he may get worn out before Med and slim pickings.. I mean Carlos has loss to lesser players than Med recently. Med seems to keep coming

We could get Alcaraz, Djokovic, Rune and Sinner in one half

And

Medvedev, Ruud, Tsitsipas and Rublev in the other....

Alcaraz and Djokovic being in the same half would be the only crime. If Rune (who lost to Rublev in the Monte Carlo final) loses to Medvedev in the Rome final, his toughness meter drops a few notches at RG.

MC is understandable, Rune had a very late tough battle with Sinner, had a lot less time to recover for the final. Here though, I understand your point.

Wasn't Med something like 0-3 in Rome prior to this tourney?

Has Med reached another level on clay? This is his first Masters final on clay. I though that he looked pretty good on clay. But can he compete with the biggest boys on clay right now? We shall see tomorrow and at the FO

It helped that Alcaraz was taken out early, don't think he would have beaten him here, if he was in the semis and in form. Med looked completely clueless against him on HC, he would have been hammered on the clay.

He almost lost to Ruud...Med is a different animal.

He was 0-4 against Ruud, but he beat Med in straights in their only match just a few weeks ago, and that was when Med came in with the momentum from Miami.

And this Rune just beat Djokovic and Ruud...He doesn't fear Med or anyone at all, and he will not hesitate to take it to Med. Rune is the superior player on this surface, as Med is on HC between them as it stands.

I hope you're right but we'll see... that Med was tired from all the consecutive tournaments he played.
I know Rune won't fear Med but that won't matter if he get's outplayed.

IF Rune wins tomorrow, I will be quite surprised and impressed as Medy seems to be at his best now. As for the FO, the courts could be a bit slower which would help some against Medy. I doubt Novak will make the semis in Paris, though hopefully, I am wrong.

That's why we're going to be watching tomorrow to find out!

The competition is very poor. Tsitsipas is playing like ****

Medevdev beating Zverev and Tsitsipas on clay in straights .. Really Stronk next next Gen.
I doubt Med would have beaten last year’s Zverev. 2023 Zverev just isn’t where he needs to be. Tsitsipas losing was just terrible…no way Stef should have lost that match, even with Med playing well.

It was terrible indeed. I’m fairly sure the horrible conditions and all the drama with his family had a role to play.
Med was not outplaying Stef at any point in the match. Whenever Stef was even playing half decent and not as spraying every second shot, he was the one dictating the points from the baseline. It was sad to see him implode like that. His mind was definitely not in this one. Under more normal conditions in Paris, I expect the same outcome as when they met at RG 2021.

It would be crazy but Rg is making crazy look very normal since last 2 editions, 2021 big 3 in same half and last year Big 2 and Alcaraz in same half along with Zverev

That is actually true, which is why the OP scenario will likely happen if Med wins Rome. We are going to get a stacked top half.

Tsitsipas was quite bad. Rain, heavy conditions and bust up with parents affected him.

He should not be losing to Med of all the people on clay.
Even yesterday he was not getting outplayed at all. It’s all his head. And his head was not in the match. The way he played in that first set to break back to 4-4 is what he can truly do on this surface. And then after they returned from the rain break that intensity was completely gone. He was a UE machine after that, not to mention being very distracted by his unhinged mother.
