What asterisk? Not a bigger asterisk than Novak's 2013 AO title surely. Nadal proved he can beat his nemesis off clay in a slam at USO, and it's not like Nadal was trying to avoid Djokovic here or anything.

That said, Nadal isn't through to the Finals yet (though he is a strong favorite for the title at this point).
