If Nadal wins final, Only one non-French Slam in last 5 Slams

If Nadal wins the final, he will have won just 1 Grand Slam outside of the French Open in his last 5 Grand Slams won. Compare that to Federer, who always won at least 3 different Grand Slams in his last 5 Grand Slams won at any time in his career. In Sampras' last 5 Grand Slams, he won 4 Wimbledons and 1 US Open. No one comes close to Federer for all surface versatility.

I said this back in the A.O. this year before the final. I respect Nadal for what he has accomplished and he's unequaled as a fighter on the court. But based on his ultra-heavy concentration of major titles at one event, there's just no way I could ever consider him to be the GOAT. Even if he winds up with 15 French Open titles and 20 overall (no more additional titles in other majors), it still wouldn't change my opinion.

Lol....you guys are pathetic. Always trying to find a way to diminish ones accomplishments. Oh, he has only won 1 non French grand slam in the last 5 slams.....oooohhhh....he must be a one trick pony. Right? :)

I'll post, what I posted in another ridiculous thread of yours. But of course you had no answer.

OP, you're such a baby!
One would think, that since you're here on this forum since 2006, you would have some maturity.

Always trying to put down Nadal & Sampras, and glorifying Federer, in the countless threads you create.
Nadal just made RG final, but what do you do? You create a thread to highlight, that if Rafa wins the final, he would actually be creating some sort of skew in his career achievements, because a fanboy like you thinks so.
So Rafa should lose the Final, no?

A Slam win is a Slam.

Try not to fantasise so much about each and every single number & stat. And there's no need to compare every single freaking stat of Federer & Nadal. "Longer consecutive sets won" lolwut? Who gives a flying #### about such meaningless numbers?!
How insecure are you man?

Just enjoy the Tennis. And I'm sure you must have also "mentally shifted to Grass" by now. So kindly spare us!
Just my 2 Rupees/-.

You know, you remind me of a character called Swiss Tony, who was a car salesman in the 90's British sketch show The Fast Show.

Every sketch involved him tying some otherwise totally unrelated subject, to the act of "making love to a beautiful woman," much in the same way you tie any player's record or accomplishment with one that Federer has achieved.

I don't mean to offend you Mc, it's just an amusing observation that's popped into my head.

Getting annoyed with these threads now over the past week or so. Always comparing to Federer and finding ways to undermine Nadal's achievements and contextualise them in a negative light, sometimes with subtle inferences. Usually you balance this with positivity but your insecurity is driving you over the edge this week as Nadal gets closer to Fed's records.

Stop posting these threads or wake up and start posting more truly appreciative threads again, by that appreciative I don't mean stuff like yadda yadda yadda look how great this makes Roger look by comparison, the juice is so tasty.

Nadal hit twenty-two winners in the 5th set of the 2013 RG semi vs Novak Djokovic.

Nadal is going to have to hit 23 winners in the 5th set of this year's RG final to beat Novak Djokovic.

Makes no sense. So, if Nadal won 20 French Opens and zero other slams, you would still consider him the GOAT?

Just because someone has a game that's suited to one surface and others don't necessarily focus on improving their game to suit that particular surface, that doesn't make the dominant player on that single surface the GOAT of tennis.

WHY all these thread around the board when the final hasn't even been played

you people can't wait ?

one thing is for sure, if Nadal lose no way i'll come here to read all that BS we had after the Wawrinka loss.

and if Nadal wins, i will be delighted for Nadal first, and second for all these haters who won't come back for a while we all hope :D

 The insecurity. Please worry about Federer and support your boy and stop crying so much over what Nadal is or isn't doing. Most of the board considers the OP a joke for good reason.

It's impressive to win 5 slams period, let alone win enough to have a 5 slam rolling count analysis.
What the OP doesn't realize is he's basically saying Federer is the only great player ever on the tour. It's ridiculous. Why do we even watch tennis if a guy with 5 slams off of his best surface is supposed to be a mug? I'd hate to know what you think about Murray or Delpo

Agreed. We all have our favorites, but there's no doubt we're watching a heck of an era in men's tennis history, and it's in its latter stages. It'll be over soon enough, and Roger, Rafa, Novak, Andy etc. will just be aging faces in VIP seats like Borg is this weekend. I for one am trying to enjoy the ride.

if delpotro was injury free nadal would never have won the US open for starters.

How many of these crap threads are you gonna start? Is it so hard for you to accept that Federer's time is over, and just watch the game without having to undermine everyone else?

Couldn't have said it any better. Who the hell do we have to look forward to??

your hypothetical is completely nonsensical

you're actually disparaging the guy that has multiple slams on each of the three surfaces; while insecurely defending the one who only has one slam on one of the three surfaces

you and your ilk need to try harder...
