Zverev has been doing surprisingly well in the '26 slams. He went down in 5 sets to eventual winner Alcaraz at AO, and won RG. If he could stand up to the crowd on Friday, he will be in the finals.

What wrong with ZEVEREV winning channel slam. Does Novak Sinner Alcaraz has some birthright to win ?
Bad case for Sinner, he has NEVER, NEVER won a match lasting more than 4 hours! And Djokovic has won 5 or 6 matches lasting at least 5 hours.

Can you imagine if Zverev beat Sinner in the final? That would mean that Zverev would be holding as many slam titles as Alcaraz and Sinner COMBINED. And Zverev would join the Channel Slam club; something nobody ever thought was even remotely possible.

If Sinner loses in the SF and Zverev wins the title –> 3070 points away, but Zverev will be ahead in the YE#1 race by 490 points.
If Sinner loses in the Final to Zverev —> 3570 point away, but Sinner will be ahead in the YE#1 race by only 10 points.

Zverev is way better than Meddy currently now as a player so more likely to win another slam. It probably just delays the inevitable before Zverev gets another slam. It can be argued Zverev is already ahead of Meddy now. He might not have been world no1, however better on clay and maybe grass, lots of masters, 2 atp finals, Olympics. Zverev adding more slam finals and he will got to all 4 slam finals unlike Meddy too.
I like Meddy and Zverev but goldie Chainz is showing he is better across all surfaces and a lot more consistent. Meddy is mainly a HC specialist but Zverev is showing he can play high level on all surfaces and slams. Zverev is having potentially a Ala wawrinka late breakout in his career.

I like both Sinner and Zverev.
But dislike this Alcatraz guy, even more so than Djokovic (who has grown on me a bit after he resisted that fascist Australian regime over their vaccine cult a few years ago).

I don’t prefer Sinner more than Djokovic per se. They play similar tennis and I’m rather neutral when they play with maybe a slight edge to Sinner only because I want to see new champions, not because I like Sinner better or anything. And I prefer both of them over Zverev, I’m firmly ABZ. He’s insufferable, fake and plays a game that’s very unappealing to me. I think I’ll not watch tennis for a while if he wins Wimbledon. It’s the worst possible outcome.

Zverev conquered one of his biggest tormentors on tour in Fritz, but the latter played way beyond his normal level IMO.
If both play their best Sinner will win. But sinner for me has been 6 out of 10 in this tournament. There’s something missing in there. He seems to have lost his mojo.
