Dominate Nadal at RG yeah

Just take Roddick and forget about Thiem. He just couldn't get past mugs in the first few rounds. Nadal got so lucky.

I don't see any part of Thiem's game which is a weakness against Nadal. His backhand actually holds very well against him, much better than "better" backhands like Wawrinka's or Gasquet's. Thiem's weakness is his mentality. (and also the fact that Nadal is a good player on clay after all. Some people use to forget that)

Thiem can match Nadal in physicality and even outhit him, but Nadal is better at using tactics and patterns.

I'd say he would have been right up there this year had he not played 4 days in a row. We saw how close it was until he was empty.

One of the best single handed backhands of all time. One that would rival Gasquet and Wawrinka for example.
Thiem has the only one handed backhand that can handle the Nadal forehand on clay to some extent.

Question is would he dominate against Nadal? Win against him once in a while at RG? Sure.. Dominate... Impossible
