If u have PF (Plantar Fasciitis) before, even fully recovered, read on.
I had PF back in 2009, and used almost a year to fully recover from it (with road blocks here and there a couple of times). For the past 4 years I have been playing tennis pain free from my foot. I am being careful in wearing shoes with good arch support, and use ortho inserts for shoes I think may not be supportive enough.
Last night I got a new pair of sneakers and was trying them out for the first time. They are the Jordan future. The shoes feels very soft and perhaps I could have gone a 1/2 down, as it is a very soft shoe (upper is "sock" like soft). For the info I wore it for about 4-5 hrs with minor mall walking. The next morning I got this PF sensation I have not felt for years when I woke up. I was being careless! Should have slip in a pair of inserts from the get go, especially with shoes with a very soft cloth type upper.
I think there are many Nike Air shoes with very soft mid soles and limited arch support. It's definitely not enough for people who had PF before. The lesson learnt - PF does not really go away. If you put on a pair of shoes do get carried away by the soft cushion feeling. Don't forget your insets!
