If you have s narrow foot, look in the women's sizes.

I ordered a pair of diadora blushield fly 2 on clearance from the women's selection.

They fit perfect.

I have always had heel slippage and at times my foot would slide around in the shoe somewhat when hard shifting/stopping. Not with these though.

Since these where listed as a 'B' width I thought I'd give em a go. Sure glad I did.

In case y'all have this issue and want to try this, it's a 1.5 size difference (USA). So a 11 women's is a men's 9.5. The other difference is that the women's shoe will be a little more narrow, which if you have narrow feet this could be a great thing.

This also l makes clearance bargains a real option, since most sizes an average man's foot is a large, uncommon womens size. For example these were under $50 shipped.

Perhaps it’s an ego thing, but I will guess most men will never wear a women’s shoe, even if the fit and performance is good. However, most women will wear a men’s shoe. My wife has wide feet, so good fitting women’s shoes are hard to come by, even in wide. Men’s 6.5 fit her perfectly and are very often on clearance!

Main problem with womens shoes is they are a bit colorful. Otherwise it would be difficult to tell. Many women I know prefer mens shoes because for them they fit better, they are on clearance in the 6.5-8ish mens range. They also tend to prefer the colorways of mens shoes. Normally my issue is mens tennis shoes tend to be narrow. I do understand wanting a shoe to fit well in the heel. I find those with a sock liner tend to work well in this regard. K Swiss Hypercourt Supreme work amazingly well for me. They really lock in the heel which makes the whole shoe feel a part of your foot.

Anyways good Advice for someone looking for a narrower fit.

It's funny how labeling something can totally change the perception of what something actually is.

Now while there are certain pastel and pinkesque tones that are definitely feminine, most of those colors by and large just offer more variety. I bet a good percentage of said shoes would sell great if they where relabeled as men's narrow.

I don't see a reason they can't simply switch shoes to Simply Width Size. Switch to Euro sizing while we are at it. No reason to have different scales. It would reduce stocking gaps where certain sizes aren't normally purchased. HEck even a step more having 3d measurement of shoes so if you know your foto shape and size you can find shoes which feet you.

The problem is shoe makers kinda like that it is difficult to find shoes you like. The number of shoes purchased would go down if it was easy to find comfortable shoes.

Biggest problem with women's tennis shoes is the inferior construction. They fall apart like nobodies business.

Not really tried them enough to know. Every Woman I know tends to prefer mens tennis shoes. They normally say they are priced better, fit better and have better color options.

It's a 1.5 size difference in length. So a size 11 women's shoe is a 9.5 in men's.

A women's shoe of same length will also be more narrow. Women's standard width is a B width and Men's shoes are a D width.

So a standard size 11 women's shoe(b width) could be labeled as a Men's 9.5 narrow.

And a standard men's 9.5 shoe(d width) could also be labeled as women's 11 wide.

My problem is most companies don't make a large enough womens shoe and I'm torn on whether or not to risk it. 11.5 mens (could probably do an 11 as well) but the highest womens goes with ASICS is 12. Think it's worth a shot or it'll be too short?
