You should try an Angell TC97 or 101. Both have stiffer throat & hoop flex.

All I need is a Pure Strike Tour Gen 3 that is about 62 in RA - probably what I have already with my racquets that have more than 300 hours of playing time on them. I would prefer if they were painted like the Gen 1 Pure Strike Tour though - like the red/black theme more than the red/white theme.

I think the 2021 PD with the stiffness lowered about 5 points would be awfully good.

While we're at it, an all black pj with gold or silver accents would be nice. :)

Evidently neither thing is ever going to happen at Babolat. :(

funny thread. When I was a freshman in HS, I sent a letter to Wilson about all of my great ideas: extended length, teardrop head wider at the top, wider throat for more stability, larger head... I had some fancy drawings on graph paper, etc..

Got a nice letter back from the product designer, telling me basically "these are all great ideas--but the average consumer won't buy it". He also sent me two Wilson Javelins (the split throat). They ended up sending me 3 more when I broke the original two frames. Used these all through HS. Funny that Head has adopted the head shape that I sent to Wilson...

The great irony is that I now work as a product designer in a different industry, and get the once a year letter from someone explaining to me how to do my job better!

Yeah It’s just a fun thread obviously racquets need to sell for brands but was curious if there are general specs people like or not.

Adjustable weight, balance, string pattern, and length. You just choose the stiffness. I'm surprised it's not already available.

I would take a mold based on the Donnay Pro One International/Pure(/Soft) Control Original from '94, and make the beam a touch boxier. For PJ either a black out style paint or something blue with yellow and green highlights:

Length: 692 cm/27.24 in
Headsize: 620 cm^2/96 sq in
Mass unstrung: 320 g/11.3 oz
Balance unstrung: 32 cm/8 pts. HL
SW unstrung: 320 kgcm^2
TW unstrung: 14.2 kgcm^2
Beam thickness: 18 mm constant
Beam width: 10 mm constant
Stiffness RA unstrung: 62
Drill pattern: 18x19, 8&10 H&T main skips

Layup will include aramid fibers (Kevlar or Twaron), with a higher amount in the throat and handle.

Customization option where you can vary the stiffness RA layup of your off-the-shelf racquet for a premium price. I’ll take 4 of the Pure Strike Tour with strung RA of 62.

My ideal frame would be:
H22 mold, but 20 mm beam;
Glossy Radical pj and Head paint quality;
98 sq. in head size;
16x19 string pattern;
60 RA;
XL lenght, 69.5’;
330 grams, 33.5 mm balance;
Wilson handle shape, or Head Tk 82S,actually the pallet system is better.
