Who would be on the front cover? How many many of the front cover? Who would be on the back cover? How many on the back cover?

Which iconic players and or images would you use?

For all the creative posters out there, and I know there are many talented ones here. Please create and share your front and back cover, so someone reading the book many years from now, will get a feeling of what the world was like when tennis giants walked the Earth.

You can call the title whatever you wish. The history of tennis. The illustrated encyclopedia of tennis. etc. We can then all vote on the most creative covers. You can make one solely for mens tennis, and another for womens tennis, or make one with both, your choice.

How you size the photos is also up to you. For those that don't wish to make a cover, please just describe how you would see it being.

The pic of Nadal with his arm around Federer after the AO final in 2009. Shows future generations the huge level of respect that exists between the current best two of all time perfectly.

I would make a big ass book with only high quality pictures of tennis players with some cool moments on it. It's important to add pictures from all the era of tennis. Important: All photos will be B&W.

The front cover would be the classic inside out forehand in the air by Roger Federer in b&w.

I have no ideas for the back cover.

Good idea. But we will need two editions without a doubt. Tbh, tennis is a polarized world with two opposites. Clay is totally different than other surfaces.
2 players with 15 Wimbledon have 1 clay to show.

I could probably make a cover, but I'd outline it like this:

Small pictures of all the ATP ranked former #1 players from the Open Era lining the bottom-front of the hard-copy book with an aqua blue cover.

A white silluette of Sampras serving in one corner of the top-front of the book and Edberg the other.

In big bolded white letters "History Of Tennis" will appear between the top silluettes and bottom pictures.

The back will simply include a quote from every former No. 1 player, from top to bottom.

I was going to reply that the front cover should be a 4 panel photo with all 4 major trophies on it, however I really like this as well.

I think the cover shouldn't have any one person on it, Tennis has existed for over 100 years, it should be something more timeless like the courts, the trophies, heck even a photo collage of tennis rackets throughout the years.

Well if you want to make a cover with all 4 major trophies you might as well trade the RG trophy with a picture of Rafa's face. So it would be the 3 other trophies + Rafa.

Well, Sampras and Federer are too close for the Wimbledon trophy it's not a clear domination, there's also Navratilova. With the AO, there's not only Djokovic but Federer is very close and of course Serena, Margaret Court... With RG, it's just Rafa with the iconic La Decima (10 titles and only 2 losses), it's just a whole different ball game. RG IS Rafa.
