IG Prestige MP vs. Pure Storm Ltd.

Hi,

Specw ise, those two racquets seem to be similar, and many say they play also similar. Though Prestige MP's head size is 98 and Pure Storm Ltd's is 95, they are both 18X20 string pattern and have low swing weight, thus very low powered racquets.

I have playtested both and I own Prestige MP, and personally Prestige MP is little bit better than Pure Storm Ltd. (I said "personally").

For me, MP feels softer than PSLtd and has a little bit more power than PSLtd. MP's sweet spot seems to be a little bit larger to me too.

I am really satisfied with my IG Prestige MP, and it would be interesting to hear from both parties' (Prestige and Pure Storm) opinions!

I much prefer the Pure Storm LTD (I used the original Black/Yellow version for over a year) just because it's softer. All the Prestige MP's I've used that are current (MG/YTK/IG) are a bit harsher feeling to my arm and shoulder. It should also be noted that the Prestige MP is actually also a 95, Head measures the racket face by the outside of the frame, not the inside like other manufacturers! :razz:

The biggest thing for me is confidence with a frame. Even now, I know that if I want to I can go play with my PSL and play well against any opponent as I have total confidence in the way that stick plays, more so than any other I own. It came down my shoulder blade not really feeling that great for the reason switching away from it. I've definitely been reconsidering switching back to it however given that the shoulder holds up! With the Prestige IG I never felt that confidence in the frame and it just felt dead to me. Obviously at this point the difference between the frames is splitting hairs, but the IGPMP just wasn't my cup of tea when I demoed it.

The Pure Storm LTD and the Prestige IG MP are two VERY DIFFERENT racquets. The Pure Storm LTD is close to 12oz strung and is VERY HL compared to the IG MP which only is 6HL. The Pure Storm's headsize is 95 square inches compared to the Prestige's 98 square inches. The feel of both racquets are completely different.
