Swiatek had a 4-0 H2H against VK, lost in 3. The 1st set I watched she had about 18-20 UE’s. She earlier lost her dominance over Gauff too.

Everyone on the tour wanted their revenge for what was happening to them last season and quickly figured her out, while she wasn't looking...it's exactly what happened to Myskina back in the day after she won her RG title...she was resting on her laurels instead of remaining on her guard, ready to adjust her game accordingly in case such a need arises and she didn't do it right on time and here we are...

LOL, she is only two GS titles away from reaching the ATG category.
In short, Iga is not experiencing a happy period right now. This can change at any time.

She is 22 and has 4 Slams. This is the most anyone's won in the last 15 years or so (aside from Serena).
Slams won since 2008:
- 4: Swiatek, Osaka
- 3: Barty, Kerber, Sharapova (5 career), Clijsters (4 career)
- 2: Li, Azarenka, Kvitova, Muguruza, Halep
- 1: Everyone else (Ivanovic, Wozaniacki, Stephens, etc.)

I always felt she is a bit overrated, there are other players who have a much higher ceiling than her overall. She is great on clay, yes, good on hard, very average on grass. She is lucky that Osaka and Barty left a big void in the game that she slipped into, but other players are figuring her out now.
She is multi slam winner, and kudos to her for that, but I don't see a very imposing game when I look at her.

She has to learn to adjust for the first time in her tennis career. Everything came a bit too easily up until now.
And I'm not sure her current team can help her take that extra step.
When you look at other ATGs, there if often a defining moment in their careers (call it a "slump") where things aren't going well and they decide to take a risk, reexamine their games, and ultimately come out stronger on the other side (Agassi is a good example of this).
I guess it's time to see whether she has it in her or not.
And I'm not sure her current team can help her take that extra step.

She's at 4 Slams already and no way in hell she doesn't add more with her level and the tour she's playing in. 5-6 Slams is ATG territory.

I doubt opponents have figured her out in any meaningful sense. Per metrics like points won % and dominance ratio she's better than she was last year. It's just that individual matches can often go either way, particularly if every match is Bo3. She probably received some good luck last year and some bad luck this year. Overall she's still the best player in the world, currently.
Her game has always had some flaws, but those flaws were already exploitable in the past. The fact that she can be rushed on quicker courts isn't some grand insight that required being "figured out." That's been on the scouting report since 2019. Same goes for her attackable second serve.
I'd encourage everybody to relax and take a deep breath. She's 22 -- still ahead of schedule in her development, imo. If she stays motivated she'll get a lot better in the coming years.

By the standards identified in this thread of what an ATG is, she'd be a pretty irrelevant and forgettable ATG if she taps out at 6 slams.
