Wow....... I am very confused by this website....haha hey thanks for the big bold!...i actually play ITF tournys..the futures..for that info....go to www.itftennis.comanymore Q's just ask!
Haha yea sorry...heres how it goes....Wow....... I am very confused by this website....
Do I need to be ranked in order to start doing these tournaments, or do I just sign up for an IPIN and then sign up for a tournament and start building my ranking like that?
Thanks....
Maybe you could make a list of steps I have to take in order to start playing tournaments. Thanks.
Yeah Midtown is like 5 min from my house lol..def a nice place but it looks expensive but hey, if you got the $ then youre good to goI know nothing about this area but i know NCAA is having their ITA team championships at Midtown tennis club in chicago in Febuary. and i heard this club has the best indoor courts in entire *******.
Haha thanks hey if u live in Palatine do u know a guy Anish Manrai? Hes like a 4.5 or something and runs the USTA tournaments I play at Forest Grove..now called Midtown (its bs)--but Anish is really cool.haha 13 nice...wish i started playing that young good for you! Sounds good man and keep on playing![]()
No i cant say ive heard of him at all...All I play are the Futures events, nothing as of USTA thoughHaha thanks hey if u live in Palatine do u know a guy Anish Manrai? Haha, good call. Unless you're a junior, the USTA is the biggest rip-off you will ever make.No i cant say ive heard of him at all...All I play are the Futures events, nothing as of USTA though
Well Futures isnt exactly cake either lol...you pay $45 for the IPIN registration...then you pay for the actual tournament...If you lose first round, done deal youre gone and thats all...each tourny cost $30 from what I remember as well. But I guess thats just building up actualy match play confidence if you want to call it that...the talent in futures is very good so its hard to progress...let me remind you that this is just the qualifying stages too lolHaha, good call. Unless you're a junior, the USTA is the biggest rip-off you will ever make.
alright sounds good....let me know if you ever want to set up anything....i usually play with my friend at schaumburg tennis plus at nights during the week when i canMario - I would be interested in hitting with you. I travel to the Naperville, IL area about 2X per month for business. I am a 4.5 player that played number 1singles at the Division 1 level. I am in my mid 40's but still can play pretty competively.
Any others interested in hitting?
Hey I just played a tourney at STP; the courts are unbelievably slow.alright sounds good....let me know if you ever want to set up anything....i usually play with my friend at schaumburg tennis plus at nights during the week when i can
Yeah theyre not the greatest but it works i guess since you cant hit outdoors anymore...i may have seen you around there, never know lolHey I just played a tourney at STP; the courts are unbelievably slow.

Hey I live in Wilmette and I play at Centennial 6 days a week. I'm only 13 though.I'm in Skokie but I'm old and a newb.
I'd love to hit with someone at an indoor but I'm just feeling out what's out there and nearby.
I've found Tam, Centenniel, AC Nielsen, McFettridge, and Mid-Town.
They sort of all sound like a crap shoot of whether you can court during anytimes that aren't the non-working mom slots so I may just stay on the drill group lessons until Spring.
Do you have a membership at RTTC? I try to play there but the courts are usually all full. The lady is usually mean to me on the phone too...I live in Elgin and I play at the River Trails Tennis Center in Arlington Heights (can't wait to try the clay courts during good weather) and Centre Court Athletic Club in Hanover Park.
When do you call to reserve a court?I don't have a membership but I do take advantage of the $16/hour without non-member fees on fridays 10pm-12am. That mean lady is just old and ready to retire i think.
Theres a waiting list to hit there? Try Forest View or Schaumburg Tennis Plus broDang man I have been on the "waiting list" at River Trails forever!!!!!
Are there any other indoor courts with reasonable rates within the area???
I NEED TO HIT SOONNNNNNN!
Well the waiting list is for the Friday Night Special.... the non-member fees for other times are ridiculous....Theres a waiting list to hit there? Try Forest View or Schaumburg Tennis Plus bro
Could you tell me what the friday special is?Well the waiting list is for the Friday Night Special.... the non-member fees for other times are ridiculous....
I will look into those places, thanks.
Could you tell me what the friday special is?I play from 3-5 there on fridays sometimes haha

But like I said..... I have been on the waiting list for almost a month!
Good service there, ppl are really nice...yeah anyone can call and make a courttimeHow is your experience with Schaumburg Tennis Plus?
Can a non-member just call and reserve court time? Or do I have to go there to reserve some time?
Awesome, thanks.Good service there, ppl are really nice...yeah anyone can call and make a courttime
I am over 21 but I understand what you mean with people waiting for your court right at 7pm or w/e lol...Im lucky to have some connections with courttimes and all..but yeah still a pain for others to pay all the time when you want to play during wintersfor those who are under 21 and still in school, how do u afford the court fees? parents pay? i just moved here and everything is so different. u pay high fees for court time and if ure scheduled from 6-7pm someone is already waiting for u to get off at 6:55 hahaha. i always feel rushed to get off and think about the one hour limit and dont really get much of a practice. its just a weirder environment from texas haha. no more 4-5 hours sessions a day for me! lol
I am 19 but I am lucky and was born into wealth..... so that's how I pay the ridiculous court fees.for those who are under 21 and still in school, how do u afford the court fees? parents pay? i just moved here and everything is so different. u pay high fees for court time and if ure scheduled from 6-7pm someone is already waiting for u to get off at 6:55 hahaha. i always feel rushed to get off and think about the one hour limit and dont really get much of a practice. its just a weirder environment from texas haha. no more 4-5 hours sessions a day for me! lol
what racquet do you use tokyo? must be nice to be born into wealth thoughI am 19 but I am lucky and was born into wealth..... so that's how I pay the ridiculous court fees.
im open for adoption! haha jk. yea tennis has always been a wealthy sport but up north its even more so! at least theres ways around it down south with alot more outdoor courts. oh well time to pick a new sport. maybe snow shoveling.I am 19 but I am lucky and was born into wealth..... so that's how I pay the ridiculous court fees.
lol snow shoveling yeah..a lot of that around here in Chicago..I hate it! idk why i still live here lolim open for adoption! haha jk. yea tennis has always been a wealthy sport but up north its even more so! at least theres ways around it down south with alot more outdoor courts. oh well time to pick a new sport. maybe snow shoveling.
I know what you mean, I had to wait until I am married to play tennis in the winter timefor those who are under 21 and still in school, how do u afford the court fees? parents pay? i just moved here and everything is so different. u pay high fees for court time and if ure scheduled from 6-7pm someone is already waiting for u to get off at 6:55 hahaha. i always feel rushed to get off and think about the one hour limit and dont really get much of a practice. its just a weirder environment from texas haha. no more 4-5 hours sessions a day for me! lol
