OK, full disclosure, I'm not saying @travlerajm said or do something that gave me that idea, I'm not saying that he actually thought that, all I'm saying is that after the facts I think that at some point the thought must have crossed his head, he was such a nice guy that I have to make it very clear, I'm just sharing what I think must have crossed his head at some point.
The following is a true story, no names have been changed, I take full responsability for what I'm about to tell.
OK, story time!
So, like a month ago Travlerajm was visiting Bogota for the weekend and we agreed on a friendly match (friendly for me, he kicked my @$$), he wanted to play on clay and taking into account the weather I decided that the best court was in a club where they have roof over some courts, I had a children's party to attend with my family and I had to rush to get to the club where Travlerajm was waiting for me after the party, so I went with my wife and children, I arrived with my oldest son, we said hi to each other and started to play, as soon as we finished I asked him where he was staying and it was far away so I offered to give him a lift, he graciously declined so I insisted until he agreed.
Everything in order until this point.
So, this club is by the north of the city in a semi rural area, there's no houses or anything around it was dark and in the middle of nowhere, Travlerajm hops in the back seat with my children and in the front is my wife, I chat with him and try to be a good chat partner, I ask him if there is any problem if we stop for a few minutes to buy some groceries in a nearby mall and he said there was not a problem at all, as we arrive I invited him to join me and offered him something to drink or perhaps to eat, he respectfully declined so I dash through the supermarket and get everything I need so I don't keep him waiting.
The rest of the ride was uneventful, we arrived to his hotel, said goodbye and we start our ride home, my wife says she has something to tell me.
It went something like this, when Travlerajm was hopping in my wife reached for my black backpack to make some room In the back seat, she didn't realized that she accidentally took Travlerajm's black backpack, when I got out to buy the groceries Travlerajm gestures to my wife to give him his backpack, my wife is mortified for this, he obviously checks for his phone and we resume our ride.
Thinking about what happened it clicked for me, I choose the farest club, dark in the night, in the middle of nowhere, I insist to give him a ride and as soon as he hops in my wife takes his backpack with his phone, later I insist for him to join me, no wonder why he declined, I'm pretty sure the whole ride he was thinking I was gonna rob him.
The cherry on the pie? My daughter sent him a big red heart trough WhatsApp thinking she sent it to my wife, if he didn't thought we were a criminal family gang out to get him, at least he thought we were insane.
We have laughed every time we recall it, good times...
Anyway, sorry guys for my terrible English and sorry Travlerajm if I gave the impression that I was going to rob you.
