IMO, PD std. is really better than APD std.

Unless you are a complete western grip player, the PD Standard is the better racket. It's more stable and is a slightly lighter swingweight. I couldn't really understand this until I played a match the other night and played a set with each.

The PD serves a little better and is just more stable for slices and flat hits. The APD is possibly a bit better for hitting severe topspin but the PD hits plenty of topspin.

I think both sticks have equal feel.

What do others think?

Own and play with both. I am leaning more towards the APD .
It has more feel, more spin and IMO more control. Swings more easily.
But both are 10's!

i play w/ a full western, and prefer the pd. APD felt a little boardy at times. the aero profile did make the racquet come through faster, but i ended up putting more spin on the ball than drive. i guess it could take some getting used to?

Played with pd for couple years. APD+ for couple months. To me, the apd has more feel. It feels softer and slightly more flexible. Otherwise they are pretty close.

the Aero Pro feels hollow and not stable enough. Some balls really fly off this racket--especially the flat hits. If you hit exclusively topspin, I guess it would be great.

The aero design is neat but seems like it would work better with a slightly smaller head size and thinner beam. This beam is too thick and the head too large to really make this feel especially maneuverable.

I own both of these sticks and I have to give the edge to the AeroPro Drive Std.; make no mistake, they are very similar sticks, but the APD being slightly more flexible has better feel and control IMO.

I play with a full western grip and the APD feels better to me. I can hit with tremendous topspin with it. The PD feels a little boardy to me.

Oh, I should have mentioned before - I am a lefty who hits with a pretty extreme western forehand grip. I guess some people have said that this makes a difference with these racquets, but I can't say since this is the only way that I have ever hit my forehand.

I'm able to put more volleys away, serve a bit bigger and hit flat to moderate topspin balls with more bite and pop with the Pure Drive.
