Implications of possible roof closure for men's semis today?

The current weather forecast indicates the possibility of some rain showers later today. If they have to close the roof on Centre Court this will have obvious implications in favour of Djokovic who is much more comfortable in indoor conditions than Nadal has ever been!

But what of the other semi-final? Who would a closed roof favour more there?

Thoughts?

What time is the rain estimated to come?

At this point guys and gals I do not think it will make much difference. Nole and Rafa are super motivated and totally ready no matter what! Rafa will just edge the match though, and go onto win his third Wimbledon title and 18th major!

Wow. Looking at the forecast it really does look like they'll have to close the roof. Temperature not hot, but not cold. I would think this would definitely benefit Djokovic's aggression. He's got all the advantage with earlier match time and shorter match Wednesday. I suspect Djokovic may be the best bet for dealing with Isner. The roof will be definitely closed at the start of the match, but will the radar allow it to be opened before the end? Isner v Anderson really looks like it will be 100% indoors.

According to what I'm seeing, it won't rain while the first match is going on. Depending on when it ends, weather forecast says from 6pm there will be rain and possible thunder storms to 9pm. If the org is watching the forecast, they'll have to close the roof before the Djokodal match starts!

Check this graph and tell me what you see:

I'm not confident that this is adjusting for time zone properly given what you said. From EST time zone this shows rain threat pretty big by 11 a.m.. edit: and this would be pretty weird as peak temperature graph lines up well with times of day.

Lets hope John and Kevin plays 3-4 hours.

Then it's time to close the roof!
They're probably going to move John and Kevin to court 18 or something. Who wants to see two big guy practically only serving against each other? But seriously, they shouldn't close the roof unless they need to. Honestly, I don't care if they close the roof as long as the reason is justifiable.

Also humans should never have made the electric bulb, steam engine, MRI machine, automobiles, toilet seat, sewage system, aeroplanes, television, internet, camera, vaccines and banks.

Toilets and vaccines ruin the authentic experience man.

If you're not sh*tting on the original surfaces under natural conditions it doesn't count and Federer is not the GOAT

Yeah I mean look at Nadal. The guy walks 10 miles every morning to find some bushes in the outskirts of the town so that he can poop on original surfaces under natural conditions.
While that Swiss moron excretes in his Western toilets with Gold coated seats and million dollar toilet papers. Disgust. GOAT my ass.

If there is doubt of rain, close it before the match. It makes no sense to spend so much time and money on it and never use it. Its like they dont have a radar and surprised when the grey sky starts leaking water.

If they suspect rain that is what they usually do.
