I think that matched lasted for three days actually.
So what's all this loose talk about a servebot's match never being lengthy?

They should never have built the roof.
You're speaking of a guy who once went 70-68 in the 5th set of a 2 day match!![]()
Nadal will win regardless, Novak's level is not good enough to beat Nadal no matter what the conditions are..
Rafa isn't losing this match!
the cooler temps helped Nadal vs Delpo.Even if the showers don't, it will be cloudy and cooler than it has been
its not that it causes him problems necessarily,Why do people say Nadal can't win indoors? He may have a dreadful indoor record, but what change occurs to the way the conditions play that causes Nadal problems?
Hitman, come on guy, its a tennis matchNot bothered either way. The better man will win.
Hitman, come on guy, its a tennis match
its not an intimate gauge of either man's character.
Roof probably helps Novak, but ROFLMAO at the need for it to win nowadays. If you can't beat a Spanish dirtballer on grass in this CRAPPOLA era, I hate to see what would happen if you played PETE during 90's conditions.
better player will win (on that day)...What I mean, I am not hoping for the roof just to help Djokovic. Whatever happens, happens. Better man will win.

Indoors there is no sunlight and it's room temperature, making the air inside of the ball cooler and lower pressure and the ball less bouncy.
The Wimbledon roof does not affect this. The bounce will not be less bouncy. It only really affects wind.
People who equate Wimbledon's roof to the conditions at the WTF either don't play tennis or are incredibly unobservant.
With great power comes great jinxability. The forecast I was viewing was just updated and now shows no rain during those hours. Seriously.
They don't want Anderson and Isner to lob each other. The current weather forecast indicates the possibility of some rain showers later today. If they have to close the roof on Centre Court this will have obvious implications in favour of Djokovic who is much more comfortable in indoor conditions than Nadal has ever been!
But what of the other semi-final? Who would a closed roof favour more there?
Thoughts?
One off-topic question...
Why any one can not lob these 6'11" players
Have you ever tried to lob someone who stands as tall as that?![]()
rather goofy attempt at an explanation on your part.
the centre court roof tends to dramatically increase humidity, which slows conditions and lowers the bounce, which does favor Djokovic!
Well if the Isner v Anderson match goes three or four days then maybe it will rain on Nole and Rafa.
I would like the roof to fall on top of the players right now plus the Wimbledumb committee.I'd just settle for the Wimbledumb dumbies who didn't institute a 5th set tiebreaker after the Isner v Mahut match ffs.
What about the implications of Novak and Rafa playing tomorrow? Tomorrow will not rain.
And at this rate, Mr. Anderson and Isner will not finish today.
