The forecast I was viewing was just updated and now shows no rain during those hours. Seriously.

Roof probably helps Novak, but ROFLMAO at the need for it to win nowadays. If you can't beat a Spanish dirtballer on grass in this CRAPPOLA era, I hate to see what would happen if you played PETE during 90's conditions.

Even if the showers don't, it will be cloudy and cooler than it has been
the cooler temps helped Nadal vs Delpo.

Nadal was struggling a little with his endurance in the very hot temps the first week.

the court is already hard enough to produce the higher bouncing...

Why do people say Nadal can't win indoors? He may have a dreadful indoor record, but what change occurs to the way the conditions play that causes Nadal problems?
its not that it causes him problems necessarily,

its just that indoor conditions reward precision more. Nadal's game is not based on precision, its based on intensity, margin, and to an extent endurance when he faces opponents who can put up a fight and contend with the constant body blows he delivers.

Federer's game is much more precision based. Djokovic's game is somewhere in between Federer's and Nadal's in this regard.

Hitman, come on guy, its a tennis match

its not an intimate gauge of either man's character.

What I mean, I am not hoping for the roof just to help Djokovic. Whatever happens, happens. Better man will win.

LOL! The 90s clay virus is spreading.

Indoors there is no sunlight and it's room temperature, making the air inside of the ball cooler and lower pressure and the ball less bouncy.

The Wimbledon roof does not affect this. The bounce will not be less bouncy. It only really affects wind.

People who equate Wimbledon's roof to the conditions at the WTF either don't play tennis or are incredibly unobservant.

rather goofy attempt at an explanation on your part.

the centre court roof tends to dramatically increase humidity, which slows conditions and lowers the bounce, which does favor Djokovic!

The current weather forecast indicates the possibility of some rain showers later today. If they have to close the roof on Centre Court this will have obvious implications in favour of Djokovic who is much more comfortable in indoor conditions than Nadal has ever been!

But what of the other semi-final? Who would a closed roof favour more there?

Thoughts?
They don't want Anderson and Isner to lob each other.

It doesn't look like adverse weather is going to have any impact on this match, but if it had, and the roof was closed, I would imagine it'd favour Anderson. I think Isner much like Rafa is benefiting from the higher bounce this year, it requires him to get low less, it's giving him more time to get to stuff with his crappy movement. I think under the roof his serve would probably become even more dangerous, but I think Anderson's better movement and strength off the ground would probably tip it his way overall.

Rafa honestly is probably screwed under the roof, but I guess we shall be able to tell just how back Novak is today. If he can't capitalize on this prospective advantage then everything from his strong Queens up till now may have been smoke and mirrors, and getting outclassed by Cecchinato in Paris may have been the truly revealing result.

Have you ever tried to lob someone who stands as tall as that? ;)

No one was that tall in my college when I was used to play tennis...

Heck that @ 183 cm, even I am considered as a *human giraffe*(so as my father and grandfather) in my surrounding, as average Indian male's height is around 167 cm:p:p:p

But in search of youtube, I found one video in which murrag lobbed ivo karlovic so many times in a single match at wimbledon... What type of weed he was on???:eek:

Ummmm... no. Humidity only really makes a big difference on clay.

I would like the roof to fall on top of the players right now plus the Wimbledumb committee. I'd just settle for the Wimbledumb dumbies who didn't institute a 5th set tiebreaker after the Isner v Mahut match ffs.

Hey, what about the AO and RG? Can’t blame Wimby all the time :D
I would advocate a tiebreak at 12-12 honestly. Let the set carry on for a bit longer

What about the implications of Novak and Rafa playing tomorrow? Tomorrow will not rain.

And at this rate, Mr. Anderson and Isner will not finish today.

If they do then the final will have to be moved to Monday. There has to be at least 1 day of rest for everybody before the final.
