aso going by numbers clearly Djokovic -Nadal have dominated and Murray is more closer to federer than federer is to djokodal and if not for resurgence in 2017 Murray would have clearly been 3rd best in the decade.

Strange that Nadal-Murray never played a slam finale.
Even if you think there were very few occasions when it was close to taking place like I don't remember any. There best forms this decade didn't overlap a lot infact murray' s best time 2015-16 nadal was in his worst and Nadal in his best times 2010-13(in terms of making finals) and 2017-19 either there was djokovic who was so much good or murray was just not playing but atleast once it should have happened.

Federer's resurgence happened when both Murray and Djokovic were suffering with an injury all year that forced them both to pull out of the US open and when both were fit and Nadal was active and playing well during those 10 years is when Federer only managed to win 2 slams. It's almost like Federer slam count is greatly inflated by a lack of competition both in the early and latter parts of his career.:unsure:

Brilliant observation. Never mind that no male at the age of 35-36 ever won a slam, excepting Rosewall who won the AO with the field consisting of complete nobodies. He beat Malcolm Evans in the AO final he won at age 35, Fed defeated Nadal at a comparable age at the same tournament. Any man who wins a slam at 35 or 36 is a legend since nobody else ever did it. Wait and see how your guy does at the same age.

"If not for the resurgence in 2017". Lol, 35-36 years old Federer during 13 months won as many slams as Murray did during his whole career. :-D :-D :-D :-D
That’s actually sad asf if u think about it. It’s pretty much the hard truth about Murray’s career
