if I have roughly utr 7 right now (9th grade) is it possible to increase that to a 10 utr in 1 year and from there go to a high 12 or low 13 when I graduate high school and get recruited to a good d1 tennis program?

I know I haven't provided a lot of details, I am just asking if this would be possible or not hypothetically, assuming the player will put in the time needed and grades are not an issue.

Are you regularly competing with 10s now? If not, you probably aren’t close and can’t get there in just one year.
What’s more realistic is you’ll be a 10 when you graduate.

High 12 UTR as a senior in high school puts you among the best in a the nation, so the chances of you reaching that from where you are now is extremely low.

just cuz it fits nicely... i'd think that increase ~1 utr/yr is pretty good/reasonable.
adjust up/down for volume/intensity of training (how often do you practice? are you making every moment count?), quality of training (taking lessons regularly? have high level hitting partners?), fitness (you doing fitness?), talent/physical attributes (can't control this... so don't even bother focusing on this).

For "someone" to make that sort of leap isn't impossible, so I'd say that yes, it's hypothetically possible. But that would mean that you rose from, "never played the sport before," to your current level in no time flat, and have a wealth of natural athleticism, laser like focus, and unlimited motivation.

Unlikely, but not a theoretical impossibility for all possible situations.

But a worthwhile goal to pursue, no matter the outcome, if you enjoy the sport. And, "good enough to walk on at a D1 program somewhere," isn't out of the realm of possibility, and there are a lot of non-D1 programs that are really excellent and will help you improve the full time you're there.
