In-crowd reaction footage when Rune took the 2nd set

My favorite crowd angle is 1:24. You really hear the crowd eruption and "Ruuuuune" chant which Djokovic thought was booing. He must have been very hurt by that
Some might think the only one hurt is you posting nonsense over and over again. :giggle: I would be deeply concerned over my involvement in hating some player like you are showing, but it's just me. Maybe it fills you up to be hurt and wrong all the time.

I’m really surprised by that. On here every 2nd person is a Djokovic fan. Is that not the case even in the tennis watching public who are prepared to pay for tickets?

I didn't stay up to watch the match, I've just started watching the replay and this was the first thread I saw in General Pro Player Discussion, having avoided the match threads. I thought all threads relating to matches should be posted in:

yeah we all know who's fanbase is disgraceful
Federer is immensely popular in the US but even he has been subjected to anti crowd in the past when he played Agassi and Roddick, he did not cry, eventually the crowd became pro him. Even Rafa enjoys good support at the US Open.

Both these fanbases don't like Novak and Novak has been a crybaby, never did anything to convert them into his fans.

What do you mean even Rafa? Rafa enjoys immense support and love everywhere, he got a rockstars welcome just the other month in Washington DC.

Rafa enjoys as much if not more support than Roger in the USA. Stop buying into the Federer propaganda machine run by the media and commentators.

He provoked them more by winning constantly.

it's one thing to cheer for your country man and a title contender but it is another thing to cheer for first serve faults of a legend. IF Djokovic was hung on the court last night these "fans" would cheer...that's how demonic they are.

But they remember all the beatings Federer received from Djokovic, including 3 40-15s (2 at USO)
40-15 is not a beatdown, beatdowns are 3-4 sets thrashing that beggar got at the hands of federer 3 straight years....

then that fellow lost twice to nadal

then to murray in between

then stan beat him fwice

Even little Nishikori kicked him

Thats why he gets booed, crowd remembers this .... and for a good reason too

40-15 losses stung more than 3 or 4 sets losses

They were Federer fans’ worst nightmares. So you’re right they are much worse than beatdowns.

I assume tickets are expensive and Novak isn’t that popular among the rich folks who can afford tickets for prime time matches.

He's making 1/4th of RF endorsements but somehow is more popular?

That's because Roger got there first and he gets a lot of propaganda. Some people have been brainwashed. They are still referring to him as the GOAT even
though the evidence is to the contrary. More genuine tennis fans like Rafa more.
