Ffs I was indeed, cheers2008 Wimbledon isn't quite a 10/10. Nadal had a few dips there at crucial enough intervals to drop two sets and almost the match to Fed.
You might be thinking of their French Open final.
Nadal vs Federer, 2008 French Open
Djokovic vs Nadal, 2019 Aussie Open
You need Fed at 10.5 to slot Roddick in at the 8.5 ATG cutoff.
So Federer was off all day on his return basicallyRoddick vs Federer

Andy's serve was not broken until the end of the 5th set. The 30th game of the 5th set (4 hrs, 17 mins)!
Roger was broken (at least) twice in the first four sets of this marathon match.Roddick vs Federer

Djokovic's AO 2015 final is 10/10? What?1978 Borg - RG
1999 Sampras - WIM
2000 Safin - USO
2001 Hewitt - USO
2005 Federer - WIM
2008 Nadal - RG
2008 Federer - USO
2011 Djokovic - AO
2014 Čilić - USO
2015 Djokovic - AO
2017 Nadal - RG
2019 Djokovic - AO
2020 Nadal - RG
2021 Medvedev - USO
Or Andy was holding serve a bit better than Roger. Andy was not the easiest guy to break, even for the best serve returners. And Andy was able to convert more break points: 40% (2/5) compared to 14% (1/7) for RogSo Federer was off all day on his return basically
That was supposed to be the response to the Mac over Connors at Wimbledon in 84INDEED!
That’s a great shout, not sure how I missed it.Federer vs Murray US Open 2008.
Murray was playing brilliant tennis but he ran into a great display of all round tennis by Le Rog.
Murray played that final quite nervous and only provided a good level in the second set that was shown in the previous rounds.Federer vs Murray US Open 2008.

tbh I thought that one was already mentioned lolTwo mentions for '05 WB but none for '04 USO yet? The latter is one of Federer's most famous matches. '03 WB was probably better as well.

That was probably his worst AO final, at best case second worst after 2020.
2021 was a good performance tbf. Med crapped the bed but I don’t think it should detract too much from the quality of Novak’s play. Certainly of a higher quality than 2020.Definitely not a 10, but Atleast 2020 and 2021 were worse.

Fed-Roddick Wimbledon 2005 was a straight masterclass of all-court play. Fed's best Slam matches tend to be in the QFs or SFs but this was an exception.
Sampras tended to bring it to the finals more often. US Open 1990 is another great one and of course Wimbledon 1999, as overrated as it sometimes is, was yet another masterclass in a final.
Maybe the semi final against Federer...glassikori merely laid an egg in the finalCilic USO ‘14
