2008 Wimbledon isn't quite a 10/10. Nadal had a few dips there at crucial enough intervals to drop two sets and almost the match to Fed.

Fed-Roddick Wimbledon 2005 was a straight masterclass of all-court play. Fed's best Slam matches tend to be in the QFs or SFs but this was an exception.
Same deal with Djokovic but to an even greater extent. Plenty of 10/10 semifinals from him but that list grows a lot shorter when we're just looking at the final.
Nadal was very good in the 2010 RG final as well as the 2007 final (moreso the back half of that match). If we're gonna include Novak's AO 2019, Nadal's RG 2017 is well worth mentioning.
Sampras tended to bring it to the finals more often. US Open 1990 is another great one and of course Wimbledon 1999, as overrated as it sometimes is, was yet another masterclass in a final.
Safin's US Open 2000 was one of the very best returning performances I've seen in a Slam final, certainly up there with some of Djokovic's best returning matches.
McEnroe's Wimbledon 1984 is an obvious pick.

Surely the '99 Wimbledon final has to be close to a 10? Sampras was pretty much flawless in that match.

Roger was broken (at least) twice in the first four sets of this marathon match.
RF actually out-aced AR in this match: 50 for Roger & 27 for Andy. However, Andy's 1st serve speed averaged 9 mph greater than Roger's: 127 mph vs 118 mph. (AR's 2nd serve speed averaged 7 mph greater).

In the 2009 W final, Andy’s top serve speed was 143 mph compared to 135 mph for Roger
But most of Roger’s return stats were better than Andy’s. Roger won 29 pts against Andy’s 1st serves whereas Andy won less than half of that (14) on Rog’s 1st serves. Roger won 56% of Andy’s second serves. But Andy only won 40% of Rogers second serves.
Overall, Roger won 28% of return points whereas Andy only won 21% of return points.
Or Andy was holding serve a bit better than Roger. Andy was not the easiest guy to break, even for the best serve returners. And Andy was able to convert more break points: 40% (2/5) compared to 14% (1/7) for Rog

Surprised OP mentions the AO 2019 final but not the RG 2020 final, as both are equally impressive (Nadal even bagelled Novak in the RG 2020 final, something never seen before).
RG 2010 and RG 2017 finals too, his opponents were helpless.

Murray played that final quite nervous and only provided a good level in the second set that was shown in the previous rounds.
The rest of his performance was pretty poor.

Definitely not a 10, but Atleast 2020 and 2021 were worse.

2021 was a good performance tbf. Med crapped the bed but I don’t think it should detract too much from the quality of Novak’s play. Certainly of a higher quality than 2020.

It was a good performance. Just that 2015 AO final was at a higher level from Djoko. Would atleast outlast AO 21 final djoko, if not outplay. (If being conservative) .
Don't see it being much different from Djoko v Fed in Wim 15/USO 15.

yeah, I don't think that's quite true. Fed brought it to the slam finals just as often as Sampras did if we compare till similar ages (lets say 2000/2010 or 2002/2012)
Just that the Pete folklore might have led to this misleading impression. As perhaps fed's performance in slam finals post 2012.
Wim 03, AO 04, USO 04, Wim 05, Wim 06, USO 06, AO 07, USO 08, RG 09, AO 10 are slams where final was the best or close to best performance in the tourney.
Possibly throw in Wim 07 as well.
